@und3rd06 removing the collar will definitely help cool you down, it will give the body heat a better chance of venting out. The biggest reason for the bulkiness you are feeling is the wider shoulder floaters you ordered. No amount of breaking in is going to stop those from impeding being able to put your arms in front of you. With the width of those, you could probably remove that white floater piece directly above the elbow floaters. I can see that being redundant and factoring in the bulkiness. Were it me, I would remove the collar and trim the shoulder floaters back to the about where that white stripe is... similar to my pic of my JB553 a couple of posts up.

Funny story.. years ago I was at Merrit Mountain Music Fest... wandering through the campgrounds and these guys had a HUGE pyramid of empty Lucky cans... Backpack I bought 2 years ago from The Hockey Shop in Surrey, BC. Golf bag I bought off a local Used website... looks like it has seen maybe 2 rounds of golf. Really nice bag, and happily matches my backpack. I had seen one of the golf bags about 5 years ago and have been looking for one ever since.

Did you buy that Custom Kevlar that was on eBay recently? Beautiful refurb job on that one.

I have noticed this as well. Lie of the stick used to be much more important when the blade to paddle transition was a much more pronounced angle _/ whereas nowadays sticks at the retail level have a much much more rounded heel (The exception being most Warrior and some Vaughn sticks). However, when you look at many of the sticks the pros are using in games, you can see there is not as much rounding of the heel as there is on retail sticks. The rounding of the heel makes the lie of the stick much less relevant as you can rock the stick blade just a little, change the lie thus the height of the paddle without changing how much blade actually touches the ice. I prefer a stick with a more pronounced/defined blade to paddle transition. They are getting harder to find at the retail level.

Took a bomb to the forehead dead centre the other night. Chipped the paint and the clear, but other than that the mask is still solid. Checked underneath the padding, no damage to the shell. Love my Eddy Custom Kevlar.

Thanks for the great response and info! I have been spending a lot of time on the Kenesky website the past couple of months haha! I saw that Hextall inspired set, so nice! Probably within the next year I will touch base with them about getting a set done. And yep, that was me on the GSBB!
