  1. Wouldn't doubt that haha. I'd do the same thing if I had a preference and playing at his level.
  2. It’s nothing fancy haha. I noticed before a game that the laces that attached my bungee setup to the toe bridge was super loose, but I had no time to fix it. I ended up liking it and now do this moving forward. I should probably add a few knots instead to help with lace durability, but this is the setup I’m rocking right now.
  3. Cool! And indeed he was.
  4. I find it is tight enough yes and does not rotate.
  5. Going through random photos on my computer, and found a pic I saved from somewhere. Could these be the original Pro Tech Swiss modelled knee pads similar to what Hiller would have worn when he first debut them?
  6. My CCM legs have the velcro tabs, along with some inner thigh padding.
  7. Nice to see the old Reebok's on Helly.
  8. I have adopted a similar "lace before bungee" method as well. Always me to have the slack of a traditional toe tie setup with the added snapback of a bungee. Will try and get pictures up when I'm home.
  9. Same. I tried tucking once and it just didn't feel right for me. I prefer the feeling of having more freedom / movement.
  10. This probably won’t help, but I make sure when tying up my skates to pull the tongue out so it provides me with the forward flex I need while still cranking the laces where needed.
  11. Although I have considered a padded base layer on top. I've never had issues with stingers with my current C/A, so maybe it's overkill, but you just never know. Any have experience with padded shirts? I'm open to any brand.
  12. Nothing crazy, just CCM Goalie compressions pants with some padding on the inner thighs, and an Underarmour base layer up top. Tighter setup but I don't mind.
  13. I used to have a painted mask, but have recently switches to a plain Bauer 960. Been considering a wrap though..
  14. Thank you! Much appreciated! Maybe I should two-pad stack more often haha.
  15. Nice. I am dealing with some tendonitis in my hip, so I feel you. Get well soon.
  16. Welcome back! How have you been feeling playing again?
  17. Is it possible to remove the laces out of the top eyelet to help with the forward flex of the ankle and add some ankle wraps like posted above?
  18. True one pieces would be shorter than a 2-pc option. Here's an old photo borrowed from the True Goalie Skates thread a while back: Although the boot brands are different, 2 piece skates are roughly the same heights: Overall skate height would also depend on your blades as well of course.
