  1. Thank you, and the same goes to you! I occasionally sub in for adult league teams so that is filling that competitive gap in the meantime, haha
  2. Taking the season off from college hockey... the break from school and competitive play altogether has been great for me especially mentally. Got a PRP injection in my hip a few months ago to help the hip and slight labrum degeneration... also starting to work with some guys overseas and they seem to care a lot about helping goalies so I'm relieved. Been subbing in for adult league games as well when I get the call and spending time with family and friends as well during this time has taken a lot of stress away so I'm happier. I'm hoping to be back to 100% come next season and maybe more... but for now it's time for recovery, physically and mentally. Safe to say though, freshman year of college wasn't a great experience, and I don't plan on playing or going there again.. I can relate also with the whole dad thing... my dad is in his 60s and I almost lost him a few months ago while losing one of my uncles as well earlier in the year while I was back east. Not to get into specifics but a lot of other things have gone on that I can't even begin to start on this year, but of course my love for the sport hasn't changed luckily. With that, I wish the rest of you the best in what's left of this year.
  3. Yeah, and then he went back to having boring pads, sadly
  4. I don’t mean all time obviously, I mean currently. Francouz isn’t bad but not exciting style wise, and I lowkey forgot about lindgren lol
  5. Almost every full right in this league has the some of the most boring style… jeez
  6. it does look like that lol. I do that mostly when the puck is farther out so I can get a better view on it… most players tower over me anyways I’m also messing around with new stances, glove positioning etc.
  7. Finally, dad took some pics and not just video haha. A few are a little blurry but I still like them, and no I’m not done pad wrapping the new pads yet new mask feels great too
  8. Maybe a slightly unnecessary toe save… also new to me pro return pads, will post when I’m done pad wrapping them lol FullSizeRender.MOV
  9. It’s recommended for sure… the only problem I had was with byonic. You have to be careful about when it’s time to stop using a set. I took a shot off the blade after around a year of using them and didn’t notice one had snapped in 3 places until I got off the ice lol. I wouldn’t say you have to have a spare but you have to buy a new set once and a while. I currently use bladetech and they’re the best I’ve used. But they cost a bit of money so I only have one pair of them as of now lol
  10. Yeah I’m not sure if I’d like the way he publicizes his career on youtube and such if I were a coach either, and he doesn’t exactly have the best attitude about it either
  11. Thanks. Yeah it's happened to us the past month or so with fedex. I'm going to do the mold on monday. What I got is just plain white with a silver tri cat cage. I'm taking the upcoming season off b/c of hip issues and such, but don't want to risk my head getting hurt in my off year lol. I talked with the guy and I believe I'm going with the style shell that Price used, at least that's what he recommended so I went with that.
  12. So, FedEx lost my face mold that I sent to pro’s choice. Gotta do another one now. Luckily they said they would get right on it once it was sent to them. Never shipping thru FedEx again
  13. Self explanatory lol. I'm left handed and I wear #48.
  14. Just curious, why do you want a pro palm? Not sure if it's the same with other companies, but the pro palm on my vaughn took a long time to fully break in, so just a warning there.
  15. A bit blurry but I’m glad my mom took pictures nonetheless, my dad just records lol Going to have to change colors soon, not sure what to though
  16. Never used. Custom colors with slimmed down shoulder floaters. Has my name embroidered on it. Size XS body with S arms Asking $450 USD. Northern San Diego area. More photos and info on the sidelineswap listing here Would prefer you make the purchase on the listing than other methods.
  17. Bye bye Rangers. Gotta wait till next season for Igor to properly catch a puck instead of windmilling it every time
  18. Slightly off topic, but everyone saw the two flops Igor took right? He’s too good of a goalie to be pulling shit like that. And he got away with both… Slightly off topic; I love how the NHL is seemingly trying to protect their goalies more but either mess up a goalie interference call or don’t call an obvious flop. It’s infuriating
  19. This was really helpful to know. I do wonder about going stiff with a soft boot. Might just go regular boot. I have never not played in a soft pad so it’ll be a shot in the dark… and definitely don’t go pro palm if you don’t have an extra glove. It can mostly close now but in hindsight I should’ve taped it shut after every skate and amped up the keeps method. Couldn’t leave it in the car for a day before it went stiff again. So annoying
