  1. Go to your favorite search engine and type in ups ground transit time calculator and go the first ups link and follow the instructions to get an idea of ground transit times using your zipcode.
  2. Just played last night for the first time in over 4 months. Turned 37 in June. I supposed children could be reading so I'll just say gosh gee golly are my hips and knees screaming today. And the left knee feels like I drove it into the ice extra sore, but I don't recall coming off the landing ever. Moving is rough today. Played most of the hour "drill" on my knees zipping around because constant up and down was a nope after about 10 minutes.
  3. My last time on the ice was March 8th. Got a text from a friend of a friend at 3pm this afternoon asking if I could play at 7pm tonight. I'm getting ready to go and can't wait. It's not a game, just an hour of drills, but I'll take what I can get!

@cuprajakeDo you feel the difference in the "forward thumb angle" that appeared on the GT2, which was not on the G4, but, I believe, is supposed to be on the G5? I felt the difference between the GT and G4 vs the GT2. I'm wondering if I'll like the G5 compared to the GT2. Just held in store, but I noticed then that the GT2 could possibly finally replace my Simmons 998 glove. What specific G4 glove model and size did you get? Were the intermediate leg pads you returned with senior sized gloves? Also, I have a few of those punch holes on both my 995 and 998 gloves. They've never been a source for wear, I wouldn't sweat the holes. Think of it as a weight savings . Like speed holes.

Is it another intermediate set? If so, no question I'll be looking at seniors instead when the time comes. It looks like the workers at the left pad factory know what they're doing, but not at the right pad factory.

No more screwing in. Kinda like Apple taking away 1/8th inch audiojacks on their phones. Just assuming it's not gonna be used anymore. You're left with the two small holes and maybe that big hole(assuming that's to help work the ars strap through) to work with for alternative tie methods. I need to see it up close myself, as I don't see how these two little holes will hold up against a lace ring getting slammed around and not ripping out. Hopefully it's beefed up somehow.

You are not seeing it correctly. He's running a set of prolaces the same way the original Warrior elastic is ran. The lace in the toe bridge is the stock lace that held the piece of foam in there. Would be easier to see if he pulled it apart a bit.
  8. Curious how much that will possibly mess with mobility? Will it be removable? Looks nice and protective for sure though. Noted that I'll have to ask for Chenner spec instead of the weaker, more fragile NHL spec.

Email Warrior's customer service through their website. Have your proof of purchase and photos ready.
  10. There was a pandemic and pretty much everything got shut down. Sports equipment isn't essential, there may not have been time to plan to contact all the distributors and end users. I agree it would have been nice but this was not a normal circumstance and that has to be kept in mind. I did not pester them via email because I was happy to get an answer at all during the shutdown. A week and a half response time is more than acceptable during a pandemic. Under any other circumstance, I would fully agree with those worried or complaining.
  11. I worked with customer service on a separate issue and had received this response on May 27th after a week and a half wait on response: "I sincerely apologize for the delayed response. A new pair of pants will be shipped out to you as soon as possible. Please be patient with us as we just re-opened our warehouse with limited staff and we have 3 months of orders to get out the door. " Plus who knows if and when production got delayed as shutdowns were worldwide. Good luck to you guys waiting on sets. I'm sure they're in process. I'm still waiting on my pants but it is what it is, just have to be patient.
  12. Use a bottle of Lectric Shave on these things and the white will be brand new again I promise. They will need another wash though or it will be extra fresh for wuite sometime.
  13. From what I remember, Simmons had the UL series, which was a Vaughn copy, and the 99* series, which copied RBK/Reebok. At least the pads were that way. I thought they mixed the gloves up though between series, but maybe it was the glove and blocker being mixed vs gloveset vs pads.

There's a picture somewhere on the forum showing the toe system options. The standard toe bridge that's been on previously releases is gone. There's still a spot to attach a lace, but it is different.
  15. The finger curling appears to be prominent on older models, while in more recent years, they beefed it up some and it does not curl as easily anymore.

    Congrats. Pro or Senior?
  17. I think some brands differ between quality and technology between their senior and intermediate models, but the bigger consideration is intermediate is generally 10.5" vs 11" seniors. Not 100% on Bauer's but that's the way most brands do it. I wear a Warrior G2 in 32+1.5 and could fit into an intermediate 32+1, but my legs are not struggling to move the pad around, so I am stuck on the seniors for now. Although the thought of a lighter pad has been tempting when contemplating my next set.
  18. Sick mask, it's gorgeous. Beautiful. Love the paint job. What are you going to pad it with this time?
  19. The main differences appear to be that the Senior+ model has, in addition to what is already listed on the Senior model: 1. Double-shield front elbow floater( you can see the extra pad tucked in under the elbow on the +). 2. Chest block design for maximum protection (counting the lower belly extension, the Senior+ has 4 visible blocks below the floaters, vs the 3 visible on the senior. So is it just longer? I don't know!). 3. Removable front/side chest pad extentions (Seems self explanatory, should allow a bit more customization).
  20. Don't forget pro+! Four confusing options to choose from! Just kidding, but here's a screenshot of the rundown on each from the brochure that is available on this website. Upgraded foams will be the biggest difference between the lines, but the Senior to Pro+ differences will be a huge jump in tech and quality (I assume).

Thanks for the mask pics! I would try the elastic that comes with the G5's first and then go to the Prolaces if you don't like it. I wore my G2 elastics up until last year when they were too stretched out and finally went with the Prolaces, which are fantastic. But I was fine with stock at first.
  22. Thanks for all the comments Chenner29, I really appreciate it. Love my Simmons 995 after almost 10 years of use, it's really held up well. I've gotten the occasional stinger in it since day 1, but it's not often. Simmons "modeled" it after a RBK P1 from what I remember the old owner stating, and in 2010, as now, there were no more new P1's, just used models getting passed around between new users. So I got that 995 for 3-4 hundred dollars and it has worked out well for me. I cut out the throat protection within the 1st week because I have a short neck and wore a dangler at the time (now a Maltese combo only) and have not had one issue. Some other small mods here and there, but overall, wouldn't mind getting another from Simmons again. But this Kenesky just has something about it that is very similar and I really wish I could try one on.
  23. How much does that run and did you show them the pics? Do they give that amount of protection stock to NHL'ers? Going to have to replace my Simmons 995 at some point in the next year I think, so I'm researching now.
