After 10 seasons, my hackva mask is finally on its last legs. I have been looking at possible replacements, and the Mage RS caught my eye. I was curious as to what those of you who've won the mask think about it. I was also curious as to if you think it would be an upgrade over the old hackva, or if you would recommend other options. For a bit of perspective, I play in low-level beer leagues, and I'm looking to spend around $500 at most.

Goalieinneed, I still use it and love it. It's the best glove I've ever owned. Ive never had any issues with the protection on it, though I generally play in the lower leagues.

Not sure. Never used a 5500. It's just described as a 35 degree break.

My Gnetik 5.0 is a finger and thumb.

I bought a Simmons 997 c/a instead of a Brown 2200 due to a great deal on the used Simmons. It didn't take long for me to regret that choice. I sold the 997 and bought the Brown after two skates. Love the Brown.

My new (as of December) Brown C/A. I see why a lot of you board members love these units. This thing is fantastic. The only mod I made to the 2200 is that I added the 2400 rib protection to it. Everything else is stock. PastedGraphic-3.tiff

Do any of you know if Brian's is going to replace their 5.0 line? I was looking for the pads to match my gloves but haven't had any luck finding them. If not, will they have intermediate sizing for the Gnetiks? At my size I need smaller pads
