  1. ‘10 Ford Fusion Sport AWD. They weren’t using the Eco-Boost motor in the Fusions yet (I think that changed in ‘11 or ‘12), so the fuel economy sucks, but it’s both fun to drive and can deal with snowy roads well enough for me to get to and from work when it’s blizzarding outside.
  2. My old sticks (a silver/black Nike|Bauer Vapor XX, and a yellow RBK 6K) needed to be retired (the Vapor was just generally beat to hell, and the RBK took a shot off the handle that cracked it last time I played). Picked up a pair of Warrior CR3’s the other day, hopefully that will keep me set for a while. I honestly can’t even remember the last time I had a matched pair of sticks, but I know it was when Christian was still making the Curtis Curve...
  3. Because of a repair that needed to be done on the original tie down, my setup is probably unique, but I think the person that fixed it inadvertently made a major improvement to it (at the time, I was stationed at Ft. Campbell, KY, and I took it to one of the Korean ladies outside of the base. I think she misunderstood what I was asking for and had no idea what this thing was, but I can’t complain about it, especially since I don’t remember having paid too much to have it done). Original tie down loop was attached at both ends to the same spot, after the repair it is more like a belt loop that goes over one of the abdomen blocks. I like it so much better that way. C/A: Vaughn Legacy 6000 (c. 2005) Pants: Bauer Reactor 6 (c. 1999) How I wear it: Tucked in with the pants outer belt run through the C/A tie down. Any issues: None, keeps the belly pad from sliding up.
  4. Picked up a lightly used CCM Extreme Flex II set (760 pads, 860 gloves) in white/blue about a month ago to replace my old RBK PS1’s. Then yesterday I got a pair of Vapor X700 skates (replacing my 19-year-old Reactor 3000’s) which I’m looking forward to trying out tomorrow.
  5. Hello, all. Just got back into playing again at the local pickup sessions a few months ago after a long time away due to military moves/deployments, kids, and a career change. It’s been fun rediscovering the game (and getting myself some new gear ). I was on the old GSBB when I was playing before, and I remember it being a great resource. At some point I’m hoping to find myself a league to play in, but my work schedule (3rd shift with rotating weekends) makes it tough to commit.
