Youre best bet is to contact JRZ and talk with them. Simon can build them anyway you like. I believe JRZ has a some composites in the thighrise to keep em stiff. I am coming from G3s and G4s myself. I ordered their stock pads, which should be coming in a couple of weeks.

Updated Review: I have played about 15 games with these. I had some initial wearing on my pads due to velcro and clarino having a go at eachother but that seems to have resided. I put a patch of moleskin on the boot channel and that seems to be holding up well and not wearing. It could have also been fresh clarino shedding a bit. Ive noticed that I have to check the screws between games for tightness, but could loctite it. In terms of speed of getting my skates on, these are awesome and while I cant get them super tight, I feel I get a very consistent tightness and overall good comfortable fit with the halo laces. Definitely wont be going back to laces.

Adjustable thighrise on Smith Pads was also pretty weird gimmick. Suprised it hasnt been replicated anywhere.

There was a pad that you could take the entire face off of and swap graphics out. Not sure if it was ever produced, but they definitely took some kids money.

I was quoted 6 weeks from JRZ for these. Just going with the pads as I like warrior gloves alot. Tan and Black Weave.

Hey folks, I went to swap my stepsteel out for some new runners. I have the nut and bolt holders and need some advice on how to remove the bolts from the old runner or where to buy replacement bolts.

I went with wire rack shelves when I migrated from basement to garage. 36Wx 84Hx 14D about 70 bux each in the garage. A blower fan and cyclone fan for air drying. Hot tub, kegerator and TV. Makes for a nice way to unwind after a game. Thinking about dropping in some synthetic ice.

Larger shoulder floaters will give coverage at expense of mobility. It sounds like you just may want to get the russian spec upgrade. I got a 2400CA which has built in extra rib protection with russian spec. It is pretty mobile once broken in. Get the suspender straps if thats your thing, i dont tuck and just tie down and its fine. Skip lifts, russian spec covers bicep protection. Fight strap probably skip.

Weird, I still liked the G3 over the GT and G4. The G5 is also excellent.

I actually love the warrior trapper, its up there with Vortek for how it feels. I will admit it does feel a little weird at first with the velcro palm. That being said, I sold both my sets of warrior gear to get a set of Passau Starke (on sale and I was bored with a tax return) and a pads of JRZ with warrior gloves. I really liked the gear. The pads were a bit too short for where I would like them which the Passau pointed out to me, so Id have to go full custom.
