  1. Do you mean the finger protection is one piece? Looks like Mach finger protection with the traditional Supreme (US/2S/1S) cuff.
  2. Anaheim - Giguere Arizona- Smith (Khabby a close second over Bryz and Burke) Boston - Cheevers (love it or hate it, he’s one) Buffalo - Hasek Calgary - Kippursoff Carolina - Ward Chicago - Esposito (Belfour, Crawford) Colorado - Roy Columbus - Denis Dallas - Belfour Detroit - Osgood Edmonton - Fuhr Florida- Luongo ( and Beezer’s mask alone in second) LA - Quick Minnesota - Backstrom Montreal - Roy (Plante a hard second over Dryden) Nashville - Rinne (Vokoun has to be in the conversation) NJ - Brodeur NYR - Richter (with all due respect to Lundy. Would all of these guys have the Statue of Liberty on their masks without Mike?) NYI - Billy Smith Ottawa- Lalime (Razor and Andy could be 1 on any given day) PHI - Hextall PIT - Fleury (Barasso close second) SJS - Nabokov SEA -Drieger STL -Liut TBL - Vasy ( Edging out Khabby and Puppa) TOR - Bower, I know everyone says Cujo but his first run was only 4 years. Potvin played almost 100 more games. VAN - McLean (Lou and Cloutier respectively) VGK - Fleury WAS - Kolzig WPG - Helleybuck (Essensa if we consider this a continuation of the Jets or Lehtonen if we consider this a branch of Atl)
  3. I gotta say this one is amusing. CCM has done the testing and the science proves that solid Jenpro is the best for sliding. Yet for the last couple of years consumers have said that that Speedskin actually made sliding worse and CCM insisted that we were all wrong and that is superior. And now, CCM coming with this science approach as if it’s their new discovery. So much so that you can’t actually get Speedskin on your sliding surface at all anymore.
  4. Anyone know if Fusion is still in business?
  5. I feel as there is less variations and secret sauce stuff. But the 2000s was certainly fun for that “Fleury foam/ strapping.” The orange Easton suspender at one time had this reputation as it kept popping up after Easton closed down. The closest thing I can think of now, is like Pro only stuff, such as the 2S based glove a lot of guys use. More guys in the NHL are using the 4.1 gear over the Hzrdus stuff. But I wouldn’t say they’re nearly as coveted to be true Unicorn’s.
  6. Price actually started this at the end of his career, albeit with a leather strap instead of nylon.
  7. Those started to pop up in clearance. I upgraded from Heaton neckguard I’ve had for 20 years. The materials do feel thin, and I can see them wearing out but mines been good in the 15 times I’ve worn it. It is rock hard when cold and gel when warm I find. Overall I’ve enjoyed it. If I could change anything it would be a dip on the front of the neck like some of the Roughneck ones. And I’d like a dip at the back as I’ve had my backplate catch on it on occasion. I am thinking on looking up Dave Wilcox or someone to reskin it in the summer if that were even possible.

    NHL Knee pad database

Bauer Pro and CCM KP Pro Helleybuck with the classic Reebok.
  9. I think you’re fine to use that. I removed the tune fit on my old 2X and it was no problem.
  10. Scott Wedgewood rocking a Bauer blocker with True graphic. Green’s don’t line up perfectly.
  11. I added the Vapor professor strap and enjoy it better. It’s to hard to say exactly how it felt. It worked enough, it could secure your leg in there but I felt like it wasn’t designed to be there, maybe that was more mental that physical.
  12. Yes, it worked well enough. I ended up switching back.
  13. I believe the pads are second set received at Christmas. And he’s still using the original set gloves.
  14. Fair I guess. But if the lack of a wrist strap was essential, the True guys would be wearing CCM. As you said all the Bauer guys have the option of a glove without a wrist strap and choose gloves with one.
  15. Phenomenal graphic, however it seems CCM printing process is still having issues.
  16. I don’t think that sample size really says much in comparison to the True 580 users who use do use a wrist strap, with quite a few still using leather wrist straps.
  17. I say this is less shocking than the graphic considering the most used glove at the NHL level is the 2S based custom break. Heck, most guys haven’t adopted the cuff-less design of the Mach.
  18. I feel like the previous mentality is changing, Where typically Bauer or whatever company would have their guys in the new graphic for the next Spring release. I think they want guys in the current line as close to release date to keep selling more Mach’s to the average consumer.
  19. That was discussed. These are from a behind the scenes look where they took a look at both the Cowboys and Texans for inspiration.
  20. Some new Knee Pad designs from CCM. First update in a couple years
