  1. My AllBlackHockeySticks / HockeyStickMan blackout sticks have been beasts durability wise. Haven't broken one or had any major chips in them. They go dead and loose their pop well before they would break in my experience. But even then I get a solid year or 18 months before they go flat. For the price and their weight and durability, they are very hard to beat for me. Before these I used custom CCM Premier 1 and was very very happy with them as well. But with the price point and performance of the blackout sticks it would be hard for me to go back.
  2. And there were 2 different versions of the retail 590; a Made In Canada and a Made in China. The Chinese one didnt have the label on the left elbow floater was the easiest way to tell. There was a stark contrast in protection and build quality between the 2. The Canadian one was a tank, the Chinese one was akin to a senior level but asking a pro level price. Retailers were getting both toward the end of the cycle so it was a crap shoot which one you would get at order. The Goalie Crease units were absolute tanks.
  3. I went from CCMs and tried a Warrior, but the lie seemed way different and couldn't get used to the Warrior. Just something to be aware of.
  4. Been playing around with my X4 Pro+. Haven't taken it on the ice yet, still trying to get a good feel for it especially the arms. I think one thing that's been hard to adjust to is the hard elbow caps of the Warrior to the "soft" elbow caps on my old Passau. Has anyone done any different strap adjusting on the arms to make it feel better? One thing that seems to make it feel better to me is shortening/tightening the elastic strap up by the armpit that helps pull the entire front of the arm up more. Need to try and find a good solution that would hold up without cutting into the straps until I can get it dialed in.
  5. Curious to hear your guys experience with the Pro after some time. I ordered the Pro+ and am looking forward to trying it.
  6. Would anyone with a X4 PRO+ chest (ideally Large) be able to measure straight down from the bottom of the neck guard (as I usually take those out) to the bottom edge of the stomach area?
  7. Full fiberglass price I was given was $450 CAD. My current is a full Kevlar and was looking for a back-up.
  8. FYI wait time for a new mask as of this week is 18 weeks.
  9. Thanks. I had that address from an older communication with him, as well as a Bell address from waaayyyy back. I'll try that.
  10. Is Michel's email address still the Gmail one? Tried sending an email to start an order and haven't had a response in the past few weeks.
  11. Has anyone recently ordered a full fiberglass? Just curious what the current rate is. Thanks.
  12. @Puckstopper Are you still on the 15/20/28 profile? Thoughts? @Chenner29 Are you still on the 24/28 profile? Thoughts? I had been using the 20/32 for a while. Switched to the SAM for the past 2 years. It's been ok. Just bought some NOS Tydans with a CAG 60/120 already on them. Excited to try them out, but curious about others experiences.
  13. Retail SP jerseys are good quality, but still not the same as the authentic on-ice ones.
  14. Delia is PAW. From what Sara says he wears a standard version, no beef up.
  15. The RBK/CCM/Adidas XL size hockey socks fit over most knee pads. When I used Factory Mad knee pads, I bumped up to a XL+ size due to the extra bulk. To me it seems the retail socks fit a touch smaller than the pro stock socks and are slightly less stretchy. But not a huge enough difference to size up.
  16. According to SSU on Facebook, someone said these would fit in a holder, they were able to try on a demo (this?) pair. Not sure which holder they used though.
  17. 100%. My old Maltese is still going strong. The best ones that seem to last the longest are the full gel ones where you had to call Phil to order and spent an hour + on the phone with him. I see some of the other foam/gel type neckguards for sale with little use that have fabric that looks more worn than my Maltese. My only worry is when (if ever) the material on my Maltese gets too worn is getting it reskined. I wonder if Sara @ PAW or someone of the same ilk could do it.
  18. I have a set of Fit 4 13A pants (same as 14A but with elastic in front instead of the lace up). They fit the same in terms of waist size as the 11K and 12A pro stock size XL I had.
  19. For the price I've been very happy with my Fischer stick. Limited use so I can't comment on durability, but feel is good. There is a GGSU discount code that brings it to around $125 shipped for a single, cheaper for a 3-pack. https://fischerhockey.net/product/gc950-composite-pro-goalie/
  20. Was this a limited time code? I don't remember seeing an email blast with this code.
  21. Has anyone experienced any tearing of the jenpro when removing the 3M type tape? Does it remove clean?
  22. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Sherwood-Nexon-Ice-Roller-Hockey-wash-Toiletry-Bag-Black-Blue-NEW-/172392147339 I've used one of these (older version, just black and grey with Sherwood logo, but exact same thing) for years and love it. I like the slimmer profile so I can pack it upright along the side of my bag.
  23. Is there an EF5 stick customizer available online / available to the public?
  24. What is the fabric material like? Similar to the newer generations of Eco/Roughneck/Maltese? I keep seeing pictures pop up of used collars and they look very well used after a short period of time; major fabric pilling, holes, etc. My original Maltese (old heavy gel, when you had to have a 2 hour phone conversation with Phil just to order) is still holding up with no holes after probably 10 years or more. Can't even remember how long ago I got it.
