  1. Thanks bud. Could you please measure the front, mid-way along the attachement. Looking at pulling the trigger on the XSG holders soon and I’m looking at around 52mm at toe and 65mm at heel with the existing Graf cowlings.
  2. Does anyone know the toe taper on the Eflex II ? I'm in these pads now, and looking to get Brian's Gnetik IV pads, and was hoping to match the toe. Thanks!
  3. It's interesting how your measurement comes in at around 73mm heel height, and @jeantodt comes in around 83mm?
  4. What’s the height at the back from the blade to the bottom of the boot?
  5. My bad bud, sorry. I meant the Graf 9035 on cowling, vs the same boot on the XSG. Appreciate your feedback tho, it helps with another boot option.
  6. Does anyone have comparison like this for Graf-on-cowling vs. Graf-on-CCM XSG holder?
  7. The measurements from bottom of boot to floor on the modified Graf looks similar to when it’s in a cowling, at least at the back. The front area is lower on a cowling Graf, but looks a lot flatter with the new holder. Did you find the extra blade length easy to get used to? I just shaved my cowling like Carey Price, but I have a 2nd pair of Graf 9035, so I may try this next. Great review, thanks!
  8. So I shaved my cowlings ala Carey Price. Has anyone else done this?
  9. So you’re thinking the cowl + the blade on a stock 9035 might be around the same as a taller holder + blade on another model?
  10. Interested to know if anyone has done the height measurements difference between the stock Graf 9035 w/cowling, vs Bauer Vapor 2X Pro vs Graf Pro G bs Graf 9035 with custom holder (any brand) ? I prefer a “lower” skate as my hips and knees can’t take the higher feeling of the Bauer Vapor 2X Pro for example. Thanks!
  11. I LOVE this thread. I just put my Bauer 2X Pro (8D) up on Sideline Swap tonight as I’ve been having the same issues with comfort, insoles, lace tightening, hip and knee strain. Going back to my Graf 9035 now, but may try out this cowlingless skate. I’ve been in Graf 750 Goaler Pro, RBK 9K, Bauer One80 LE (another mistake), Graf 9035 and Bauer 2X Pro. Much prefer the Grafs over any other. There’s a similar thread about adding a blade holder to a Graf 9035 after the cowling has been removed.
