  1. And the GT line is dead now too?
  2. So, any news on Warrior releasing new equipment this spring?
  3. Any updates? Are any further E+ colors ever going to be release like originally planned (e.g. the black/white color) and full right options?
  4. Haha, I actually felt the G2 was the best. The fingers seemed a little longer and the closure was the snappiest. Never had the G4, but still love the G3 and G5, which feel identical to me. But Damn, the Warrior gloves are the best, I will never switch. I may try other leg pads and blockers, etc., but ever since I've been using the G2, my glove has never been better. Vacuums sooooooooooooooooooooooo many pucks. Can someone confirm whether the G6 leg pads come with knee pads, like all the prior years. I don't see any reference to them anymore. I really need to replace my current knee pads but will wait if they come together. Thanks.
  5. Do the G6’s no longer include knee pads?
  6. Isn’t Pure Goalie selling certain colors right now? https://goalie.purehockey.com/product/warrior-ritual-g6-e-goalie-leg-pads-senior/itm/47090-41/?gclid=CjwKCAjw-L-ZBhB4EiwA76YzOYyTiQG963siC3XpfCcx7gZmJwEwtYF-QjTwiKaIm0l2Z3ruv1V74BoCCs8QAvD_BwE
  7. Ugh. WTF? I've literally needed new pads since last November (probably even longer) but I strung it out thinking I'd get the new line (G6) by April. By time they get the G6's on the shelves, I'll be thinking about waiting for their 2023 line, smh. Warrior is slowly losing me. I've been wearing the original X pants from 2016 and I just ordered the X3 pants. Not only did they inexplicitly jack the price up recently of the X3 pants, but they literally look crappier quality than the X1 pants. So I opted for the Bauer Elite pants instead, which, ironically, have better quality and are cheaper. That's a first in the Warrior vs Bauer world.
  8. Any updates on this, specifically retail senior models?
  9. Looks like Canadian pricing hasn't been effected yet:
  10. But a random out for the blue 25% increase with no warning is insane. And I don’t see any other company effected. I get how the X3 would not chance for years, all the more reason to keep the price the same. If they wanted to increase prices then at least relabel to “X4”. In other words, Warrior is now priced higher than Bauer. THAT is unprecedented!
  11. WTH?! I was about to order the X3 E+ pants and last weekend they were $229 and now they are $289! These are a 2021 release, why are they going up in price?? Anyone know what this is about?
  12. I’m a huge fan of Warrior goalie gear. Pro goalies require completelyee different gear than amateur goalies. NHL goalies have perfectly flexible hips for the widest butterflies, face 100mph shots, slide on perfectly manicured ice, require extreme durability, the NHL has strict rules limiting the adjustability of the equipment, and NHL goalies have the luxury to literally tell manufacturers exactly what they want. Not only do amateur goalies don’t have these needs , but you don’t want them. most of us can’t make perfectly horizontal butterflies. Therefore, a rock hard straight leg pad would hurt our game rather than improve. we face slower shots. Trust me that if NHL’ers faced slower shots you better believe they would wear lighter more flexible pads. We don’t get Zambonis between periods. So we need extra technology to help us keep sliding well on crappy ice. you would hate pro gear such as Chesties. The rules force them to see everything shut. No velcro. No adjustability. The pros know exactly what they want and they have dedicated tailors to sew it perfectly for them. Fortunately we’re allowed to have full adjustability so we can tweak as we please. Warrior caters to all of this, which is nothing the pros need. And you save by not having to pay for Warrior to make tons of test gear for pros for free. Basically, your paying Bauer and CCM and Vaughn more for less because someone has to pay for the pros free gear. Also, when a pro is wearing “Bauer” etc. it is likely not even remotely close to what you would buy in the stores. A pro could like certain CCM features but since they are contracted with Bauer, they either rebadge a CCM pad with “Bauer” labels or ask Bauer to make one off CCM mods which would otherwise be patent infringement if they tried to mass produce. Their masks are infamous for this. Almost all “CCM” masks are made by boutique custom mask makers and they stick a “CCM” sticker on it. So don’t be fooled buying name brand gear in stores thinking your wearing the same thing as ur favorite pro and it’s going to give you the same performance benefits.
  13. Google is exactly how I stumbled upon that chestie link. You can't get to it navigating from their website, which tells me they have not finished the page yet, so I'm sure they are working on better quality photos and fixing the ordering link. Consider it an official leak. Are those links supposed to be the Senior-level models? The titles don't use the word "pro" and the description says "Level: Elite". However the photos still have "Mach" on the gear (I would be expecting "4S" branding instead) and they still have Pro pricing.
  14. Official Mach chest: https://www.bauer.com/en-US/supreme-mach-chest-protector-senior-688698540512.html
  15. Does anyone know if Bauer is releasing a Senior level version of the Mach pads ("4S"?) this year? How about a Mach stick? Any new chest/pants this year? Thanks. I need a lot of new gear and not sure if I should just wait a couple more months.
  16. That's a good description, thank you. All I know is, I have a baseball background, and many said the 590 is most baseball'ish (though that description is wildly inconsistent too), so I tried it for a year and could never get a puck to stay in the pocket and I thought I was just getting old and sucky. Same with Supreme. Then I tried the G2 and it's a vacuum and I feel like a shortstop again. I don't fully understand the different anatomies of the gloves (due to my lack of experience with them), but all I know is I'm not leaving Warrior catchers for a while. One of my favorite things about the G-series gloves, which I feel like nobody talks about, is the segmented |_| pocket closure. Not only is it a perfect fit to catch a puck in the palm, but it's also ideal protection for the palm IMO. I absolutely despise and do not understand those "pancake" catchers that have a pointy V hinge. I experimented with Warrior's "60-degree" and "90-degree" swappable velcro liners and I think they are very deceiving. The difference is they stitch the placement of the 4 fingers slightly to the left or slightly to the right. It's like literally a couple millimeters difference in where they lay the finger separation stitches and that's what they call "60-degree" and "90-degree". It's probably nowhere near similar to other brands' 60-degrees and 90-degrees.
  17. I'm just not a CCM gear fan and their gloves especially do not bode well with me. So I hate how all gloves are still compared to them for decades (not to mention their naming convention is ridiculously confusing from the start). I wish we could move on. Maybe one day someone will make a comment "the new CCM 600 glove feels a little G6'ish".
  18. Isn't "580" = 90-degrees and "590" = 60-degress. So in between would be 75-degrees as well (which would be a "600")? Am I missing something? On a side note, why do we still refer to break angles using archaic CCM model numbers? Or do the model numbers imply more information than just the degree of break?
  19. If what you say is true, then that would be physically sound. However, I do not think that's what the pads do. They are slanted forward ("/") on the face of the pad only, but that slanting does not continue with the outer edge roll, so it's all a wash. In other words, it looks something like this: | /
  20. It's a little disconcerting, but I'm not going to knock it until I try it. Remember, that's the same attitude we had when they tried to replace real leather and horsehair. Synthetic materials are better. My beef is just with the CoverEdge. It was never physically sound. For the leg pads, they just added extra padding to the face of the pad, without doing anything special to the outer roll on the outer edge of the pad. Therefore, it does nothing for surface area and just makes the pads bulkier, heavier, and IMO, uglier. The catcher, they just added a pillow in front of the wrist. I suppose if you had bad form, then this was a bandaid to fix it, but if you had good form, then this overcompensated and could decrease your performance. And I'm still trying to figure out how flattening the blocker board REDUCED high pop-ups.
  21. Awesome, thank you. Looking forward to them and will likely upgrade my extremely dated G3's Ugh, I can't believe they are still pushing that CoverEdge B.S. Drop it already, Warrior. It was a bogus gimmick. It got you something to say in 2020, time to move on with real innovation.
  22. Hey guys. Usually all the new goalie gear comes out in April every year, but I guess COVID screwed up all the dates. Are the G6's going to be released soon, or is everything pushed later, like July? Also, anyone have any idea when the Bauer Konects skates are coming out? Is it this year or next year?
