Nice, with one joint basically bone on bone, the joint doesn't move like it used to putting strain on the muscles. All 3 are still needed for me.

Man, I can relate to so many of these posts. 45 and hoping to play till 50. Arthritis in left hip, had a meniscus tear a number of years ago and injured the same knee a year ago. Gets harder and harder to get to the rink, let alone play. My physio is great. Have full routine before leaving the house. On the bike, then glute activation exercises then stretch. Takes about an hour of work before leaving the house but well worth it. I keep my physio, massage therapist and chiropractor on speed dial. The big thing I've been told is as long as you are willing to put the work and time into maintaining your body for the enjoyment of playing goal then it's well worth it. There will come a day where I'm stretching before a game and I'll just say screw it. Not worth it anymore and retire. Glad I'm not to that point yet!

Picked up a Passau catcher off SLS awhile back. My old glove is done and needed something while I wait on an order from Kenesky. I must say I'm pleasantly surprised with this catcher. Sucks up pucks in the big basket and they stay right there. If I didn't have money down on other gloves, I'd make an order with Passau. Anyone have a white and black blocker they want to move? Ideally in weave. Would like to match the glove pictures. Yes the glove has blue in it but might change that to black.

Hey guys, appreciate the tips. I'm actually looking for old shoulder caps for a thigh guard project. Saw a pair of Vaughn thigh guards that had extra protection and looked to be shoulder caps. They can lace into pad with thigh guard and with a Sewall can attach them to the guard. Been trying different knee pads and I'm just more comfortable in thigh guards. I'm sure a full summer of skates in knee pads I'd come around but thought I'd give this a try.

Anyone have an old chesty they keep around for parts? Looking for a pair of lace in shoulder caps. Ones that fit under the shoulder floaters. Thanks

As @ThatCarGuymentioned, they are made by Toronto Hockey Repair (THR) who has a goalie department called Goalie Heaven which makes the pads in house and calls them Arcadi.

LoL yep! I'm stubborn when it comes to change. When I asked a few guys about these pads they said they feel similar to V5s which is what I was looking for.

New pads on the way to me from the guys at Goalie Heaven! I'm still in my old school Boddam Hybrid pads and wanted something more updated but not super rigid like most pads today. Should get them next week.

Love them and will use them till I retire. Sight lines are much better for me compared to the cateye.

Cage did its job. Full kevlar with full fibreglass in back ground.
