  1. More than likely it'll still be available. Let me know if / when you're ready to purchase.
  2. I'm not too familiar with the CCM and Bauer lines but I believe the Gnetik would be closer to the EFlex. Brian's has two lines...Gnetik and Optik...where Optik was more flat faced and Gnetik as a 'hybrid' style pad. I chose Brian's due to their amazing build quality and the fact you could customize them as much as you like. The other companies are far behind in this regard.
  3. 2" height and it dips down just a bit under the chin....you can see it in the pic attached.
  4. My "dress shirt neck size" is 16.5" circumference and this collar fits nicely. I usually kept the velcro half snug but you could tighten it down if you preferred that feeling. I haven't worn a Vaughn collar in years, but I would guess this ECO is closer to a Senior Vaughn.
  5. For me they had a nice rebound when needed. Meaning if I wanted the puck dead on my leg, they would do that. Or, if I needed it out I would just sling my leg into the puck and it was like a cannon.
  6. JUST SOLD I just retired due to hip replacement surgery so my favorite set of all time has go! Gotta get the temptation to play again outta my house LOL I bought these custom from the Goalie Crease in Canada. All black with sport gold accents (Bruins color way). Custom name (B-ATCH) on the legs, block and catch. I believe that’s an easy removal with a seam ripper. Legs are 34” + 1.75” with standard breaks. My ATK is approx. 17.5" Full BOA closure on the blocker and catch glove. One BOA dial on the catch glove is cracked (the one that covers the back of the hand) and still works but I am including the BOA repair it as well. Gloves are standard with no special breaks or anything. Added Pro-Laces for the toe ties which also have the customized B-ATCH on them. Paid just over $2200 the summer of 2019. Took time off during the pandemic and played once a week in beer league…SO…there’s a ton of life left in this set. Always sprayed with germ killer and put in my gear dryer after every game. Asking $1800 (negotiable) plus shipping since they are virtually new. Free local pickup if you are in the Dallas area. If not, please contact me ahead of time to discuss shipping costs.
  7. Passau Goalie backpack. I believe it’s version 2.0 as they now have a 3.0 version. Purchased new August of 2019. Still in great shape. Has zipper compartments for Mask and Skates. Asking $150 plus shipping. Please contact me ahead of time to get an estimate on shipping cost. I am located in the Dallas, TX area so there is free local pickup.
  8. Used Brian’s Subzero3 chest & arm protector. Size XL. I was the 2nd owner and dried it after every game. Faint hockey smell. Great protection. Asking $125 plus shipping. Let me know ahead of time where you are located and I can provide an approx. shipping cost. Free local pickup if you are located in the Dallas, TX area.
  9. I purchased this ECOproFOAM throat protector back in Feb 2020 and played a handful of games before the pandemic. Resumed playing late 2021 so this thing has a ton of life left in it. Machine washed after every game and air dried. Size Medium Paid $185 Asking $125 plus shipping (or free local pickup). I am located in Dallas, TX area.
  10. Just played this past Sunday for Game 1 of my 2nd season back since March 2020 and skills are coming back. The previous season games were rough to start but got better toward the end, but still some rust. This last game felt a lot better and stamina is also increasing. Now been invited to a Beer League Tourney in Vegas (Sept 23-26) and debating GO - NO/GO due to the rising delta variant numbers. I'm fully vaxxed (as is my immediate family) but sharing a hotel room with a fellow player that might not be vaxxed is concerning as I don't want to be on the receiving end of a 'breakthrough' case if I can avoid it.
  11. Was at the local GoalieMonkey this weekend for a sharpening (first time in 14 months due to not playing during the pandemic) and was chatting with my buddy there about being super sore after my first couple of games back. He grabbed the Theragun demo model and let me use it on my flexors...it was amazing...almost instant relief. Fast forward to Sunday afternoon and I'm walking out of Best Buy with the Theragun Mini ($199) in hand. I immediately opened the box and turned that puppy on...wow...again almost instant relief. I know it's pricey but it's cheaper than other remedies I have tried in the past (Airrosti muscle treatments) and I can use it anytime I need it. I used it a few mins before my game last night just to get the muscles activated and then again this morning to address any soreness. This blows a foam roller and lacrosse ball outta the water! If you're in a similar boat and looking for some pain relief then grab one of these. There are cheaper knock-offs on Amazon but I went all in for the name brand due to their stellar reputation.
  12. So I finally got a chance to hit the ice last night for the first time in 14 months. I was asked to possibly sub last week so I thought I would have time to stretch again and at least hit an open skate to make sure my feet still knew what to do, but life got in the way and I didn't have time to prep at all. Game time was 10:15 last night and it was my first time putting the gear back on, stepping on the ice and playing a full game. I would say it's just like riding a bike but I was quite winded after the first few minutes but we were 1-1 after the first. Fast fwd to the end and we went into the SO 7-7 and ended up losing that one. Not bad for a B level game without any prep time before go time LOL For a while during the lockdown and awaiting my VAX to kick in, I had actually wondered if I would truly miss playing. Part of me was okay just putting the gear away and focusing more on golf and other hobbies, but once I got to the rink, smelled the locker room and made my first solid save, I was hooked all over again! Damn I missed playing. Missed the hanging with the boys and enjoying a cold one afterwards! The best part was that I did NOT forget my cup or any other gear like I had in my dreams over the past 14 months. Those nightmares where you can't remember how to suit up or you play with missing gear...LOL
  13. Just signed up for my first shot (this coming Sunday) and the 2nd one. Just pulled the "new" gear out (only got to use it for a year before VID lockdown) so I can see it every day as motivation to get the stretching and workouts going so I can hit drop in as soon as I can. Downside, my team of 10yrs dropped me since I wouldn't play during lockdown so get to find a new team which could actually better in the long run...one that actually plays defense...hahaha...I must be crazy!!
  14. My thoughts exactly! I love playing net as much as the next guy BUT not when it's a neutered version of what hockey is and should be. Why rush back so soon? I've told both of my teams that I am not coming back until we have a better understanding of COVID (looking out for the health of my family members vs. hockey) and only when we can do what we do best...drink beers with the boys before and after the game in the locker room with a little hockey sandwiched in between!
  15. YEAH I KNOW -- just was talking about how their product has been the best mask solution for me and hoping someone would be able to make their own. Definitely DO NOT WORK with Monster.
  16. I know Monster Hockey is no more and they were quite the mess....but their Medusa Strap was awesome! I have it on both of my masks and they are amazing. Just shock cord with some simple aluminum anchors so I'm sure you could make some yourselves. https://monsterhockeyinc.com/shop?olsPage=products%2Fmedusa-mask-straps I've been looking for the hardware online but so far no luck. Love them because they never lose their stretch like traditional straps.
  17. I was lucky enough to get one of the ‘express’ order slots and I had them in 8 weeks, almost to the day. Longest 8 weeks ever! LOL
  18. Just had them a week now and lovin' them! Gnetik IV in Black and Sport Gold Weave. Mask with the sport gold stitches to finish it off. Still planning on going with a black cage to round out the black out.
  19. 2013 Chrysler 300. The trunk is big enough for my Warrior goalie bag. Pads and sticks go in the backseat. If I need to take me kid with me, we use the 2018 CR-V with the seats folded down. Hoping to move to a Tesla Model 3 this fall, but the trunk has to swallow my Warrior bag. Could be wishful thinking LOL
  20. My goalie car used to be a 2005 Magnum RT until she met an early death (sandwiched between 2 really big SUVs)...RIP.
