  1. Been using cowlingless for a few years now. Progression went from Graf 750s w/ Cobra Cowling to the Same Graf 750s with Bauer Vertexx Cowling... then Bauer S190... and now Bauer 2X Pro. The 2X Pro are great... but with hips & knees that are shot i can't help but wonder how much more strain I'm putting on them with all the new fangled height. Consequently I'm looking to build a hybrid similar to what @SaveByRichter35 did below. Why not just get a new custom set of AS3 or something? Well 1) That's not as fun as building a franken-skate 2) The 2X actually work fine... so this is just me exper
  2. Ok so I'll start this off. I have a pair of G50 skates in size 11.5. My blades are fubar'd and i have the old cobra cowlings. Will a newer size 11 cowling fit my 11.5 boot?

    Graf DM1080

A few people have asked for my thoughts on the Graf DM1080s, so, here we are. Some preamble: I sustained a pretty nasty high-ankle sprain last April, and really couldn't play any meaningful hockey until mid-January of this year. Attempts to play didn't go well, and it was eventually found that I had also sustained a minor tendon tear in the back of leg/ankle. I had been in a pair of VH skates with Bauer cowling, but was interested in trying the new(ish) Grafs - in my younger, more competitive days, I always wore Graf skates, so I'm familiar with the general feel of them. I knew they'd all
  4. Clearing these out for my brother. 7.5 wide skates, pretty heavy use. Wear spots on the boot near the ball of the foot. Eyelets all in solid shape. Asking $120 + ship OBO
  5. All, As some of you may have noticed I went on a bit of a splurge recently and need to clear out some gear. I'm selling a pair of lightly used Graf Ultra 7500 goal skates. Owned by me for 5 years or so, I only played in them for 2 years of that time, maybe once a week. They're in really great shape and will come with two pairs of Step Steel and yellow Superfeet insoles. The steel is profiled out to a 20/32' radius by No Icing Sports. **note, the felt underneath the footbed says 7 but the actual size is printed under the boot sandwiched by the cowling. They are 6.5R. I'm
  6. I'm not quite sure when it happened but it probably started out innocently enough, worn out stock foot bed or maybe even just sore feet. I heard about these great inserts and wanted to try them, I mean what's the harm in that right? I could always go back to OEM whenever I wanted. But the reality is I can't. My name is @BadAngle41... and I Superfeet. Grafs for years, then a pair of Tacks, back to Grafs, now in a Bauer. No matter what the brand I can't help myself... I Superfeet. Maybe it's been so long that I can't explain what they do, but rather what stock ones don't do. I tried using
  7. Graf G4500 skates, senior size 11.5. Used once a week for less than a year. Some discoloration as shown, mesh interior still in great shape. Plenty of steel left on the blades. $75 OBO, LMK if you have any questions. Thanks for looking!
