I recently got a new small medium Bauer but I'm struggling with fit more and more. I'm around 55.88cm - 56cm give or take a bit depending on how tight one wraps the measuring tape. This means I'm at the end of one sizing, and the start of another which really causes me some problems. I used a medium Bauer years back, then recently got the small medium due to the medium large having too much movement when shaking my head, but now I'm finding the small medium is giving my headaches due to the tightness. The Bauer I had before was on these sizes for the S/M and M/L S/M 53 - 57cm. M/L 56 - 60cm. I fall into a bad spot being at around 56cm where I find the S/M being great for the most part, just overly tight at the top, and I'm not able to give up any more strap. Then the M/L just moves too much. I'm looking at a few masks right now ( I cannot go custom mold right now due to game commitments ) - The Bauer 950 does have Small / Med / Large so I'm not stuck like before. Bauer Senior 950 CCM Senior GFA Axis 1.9 Sportmask Senior X8 Warrior Senior Ritual F1 SR+ I'm going to go try some on tomorrow and see, but wanted to check if anyone has any input on the quality of the above? These should all be non plastic as far as I know. If I was off for a bit I would just go custom but I'm too committed right now. Also my budget cannot really go beyond these models, already did some upgrades and the budget is pretty limited now, already trying to get rid of my other Bauer.
In the market to get a new mask. Previously had the Concept C1 that is now handed down to my younger brother to save my dad some cash. Currently in a fusion 9961. I have read the review on the NME ONE from source for sports saying that the chin on the VTX was a trouble spot. kinda veering me away form purchasing the VTX, but I rock a dangler so I don't know if this would be a problem. The C1 chin is still fine besides the scuff marks caused from the dangler(cosmetic). But the way I mounted it the dangler floats in font of the mask. On the other hand My fusion and my brothers C1 use the now old NME cages, and I have a few spares (both CSA and cheater). I was never a fan of the profiler cages, even on my older itech widow maker. Help me choose who have some experience with both mask.
Looks like a lot of you are going the route of vinyl these days for mask art. I'd love to get a real paint job at some point (hopefully soon), but I don't really know where to begin. For those that still get airbrushed mask art, I was hoping that group could help come up with a list of artists that could be good options at different price points. I realize in category #1 there could be some of the household names (Eye Candy, Bishop, etc.), but I'm sure a lot of those guys/girls (i.e. DaveArt) won't touch beer leaguer lids due to high volumes and marketing reasons. I was thinking we could break it down like this so you don't have to call out specific pricing if that's a sensitivity. Could just be: Name of artist, website or IG handle, category (#1, #2, #3). Plus any anecdotal info you might have - ESPECIALLY PICS IF YOUR MASK WAS PAINTED BY SAID PERSON. Maybe this exists but thought it could be cool to have anecdotal info in one place on mask paint. Categories: #1. $1,000+ (USD) #2. $500-$999 #3. < $500 (USD) >> Probably slim pickings but maybe there's a diamond in the rough out there... ***Feel free to nominate yourself but a quick disclosure would be good for everyone's reference!!***
