  1. I thought of the idea to rank the current stock graphics because who doesn't love arguing over rankings more the hockey community online! (You might be a fake fan if you haven't told someone their opinion sucked on the NHL top 50 player ranks or EA's player rankings) So here they are! Please yell at me. 10. The Axis 2 might be the worst pad design I have ever seen. IMO, no further explanation needed. 9. Vaughn will just keep putting lines on Slr pads and call it a graphic. 8. Logan is reacting to the number of color zones on the Machs. 7. These are like the eflex 3 design made larger. And with more confusing broken up color zones. Make it go on the outer roll this time! No one else does that!... 6. Sure these look great. But I mean this set specifically. Just another pad with vertical stripes, and wait, no way! Does that design continue onto the outer rollNever seen that before… 5. The previous design made to look like a decepticon instead of a good guy. More straight lines makes it angrier! 4. I know. Hot take. These actually look good with some color on them. Too bad the Leafs only have one. Just like how many rounds they play in in the playoffs. Maybe Campbell can add a second color this year! 3. Maybe it’s just this design here but I think these look great. Almost every design on these looks good. I wonder what the relevance of 12.2 is. Maybe the number of satisfied non-pro customers they had last year? Or the number of years it takes to get a set? 2. These are pretty cool. They look good in red and white. Because nobody who wears them on any other team is this creative. But seriously, these look great no matter how you pick the color zones. 1. Brians owns stock graphics. These are like the cool kid in middle school everyone tries to be like. Once in a while someone is successful but most people end up missing the mark. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a bad looking set of these. So how did I do? Terrible? Probably. And yes, Warrior was not worth mentioning to me. Having 75 color zones doesn't work because half of them are the size of a puck mark.
  2. Hi everyone. I thought I would share these comparison photos that I took. 34+2 Vaughn V9 Velocity Pro (non-carbon) 2.09kg/4.60lb 33+2 Vaughn SLR 3 Pro Carbon 2.49kg/5.46lb SLR 3 = .4kg/.86lb heavier As you'll see, the SLR 3's in a 33+2 sit about the same height wise as a 34+2 V9. Enjoy! (skates on) (I started peeling the plasti-dip off the v9 hence the difference in the face) (skates on, sitting)
  3. I’ve been using my SLR2 pads for a couple months now, and i’ve had no problems as they fit perfectly. All of a sudden, a few practices ago, my knee started landing way under the knee block when i went down. what could be the cause of this, what should i alter in order to get my knee square on the block when i go down into the butterfly? i wear a 33+2. i attached pictures of my strapping and knee landing. i’ve tried different strapping variations and decided that having you guys take a look and giving some advice would help me tons.
  4. 35+2 Vaughn V6 pads nicely broken in. I'm second owner and bought them during covid so barely used them. Carbon enhanced, double internal, single external breaks. Have minor wear on inner toe binding. 325cdn obo Ships from Winnipeg, MB
  5. I have extremely skinny legs and have thought all year that my Vaughns were too loose. I like a very tight leg channel (Jonathan Quick tight) and that isn’t really a stock option anymore. I added foam from an old chesty and tied it into the leg channel with lace from some old itech gloves. I took Velcro and glued it to an old strap so I had a soft side and put them on! #QuarantineMods
  6. Hellllllllloooo future. No strapps for these bad boys

  8. Hey everyone. I have these Vaughn Velocity V6 1000 Pro pads that I had gotten used. I definitely like the pads themselves, but something I do not like is the leather straps. They just take so long and are very annoying to put on. So, I was looking into maybe doing a DIY and changing out the leather straps into something newer, like elastic velcro or nylon straps. But, I have never done a mod to gear so I’m not sure where I should start. So I’m looking for some help on what I should do. New leg pads are quite expensive so I’m looking to wait until I really should get an upgrade to get them. One of my biggest questions is: What straps should I be getting? And where could I find those? (Links would be helpful) I saw someone do a mod on their Velocity 1100 V6’s and they had a y-strap that seemed to just fit into the old leather strap pocket, and they just had to stitch it in. That post can found here: (https://www.thegoalnet.com/forums/topic/1957-updating-strapping-on-v6-pads/) Is there anything like that out there or would I have to ask the company specifically as they did with Kenesky? I have also heard of someone taking it to a local shop and getting it done but sadly I don’t have any local shops. Any other advice and any help would be greatly appreciated. I’ll post some pictures of my pads down below.
