  1. This weekend Memorial Game for a fallen friend VS local High School Team. The old guys won 5-2. I coached the goalie I’m talking to as a Pee-Wee & Squirt.

What do you have on your dangler there?  That black lining looks custom.  Sound muffling purpose?

Car door edge trim yes I’d deadens the rattling sound quite a bit.  First time I mentioned that I was using it ( on another BB ) about 13 years ago I was told it wouldn’t hold up… been using it ever since.

Thanks for the pic, really appreciate it. Ive been on the fence for getting one of those for a few years as im in a custom Olympia Composite but its getting narrow in the cheeks lately, lol.  Are you in a chin cup or sling there?

Those are fantastic paint jobs, wow, who did them? Also, any chance you could put the left one in the pic on you and show a side profile? Ive always wanted to know how close a face can get to the bars on that model, thanks for sharing!

I have a friend that has a hydrographics business. I did all the prep work he did the final painting, dipped them and sprayed the clear coat. Here’s a side shot. I just got this one. It’s ready for some time in the blue paint.

  6. I wish I would have tried Bauer skates sooner. I always wore CCM then found a set of Bauer Supreme 7000 at the local pro shop when they were cleaning out old never sold items. They fit my so much better then the CCM’s. I still ware my old Super Tacks when I skate out.

Guys, I feel obligated to share my personal Brian Heaton Story.

I am currently the Director of Goaltender Development for a Private Hockey Training Center (9 years running, 3 locations), a boys Varsity Hockey Goalie Coach (also 9 years running with currently 1 NHL draft pick & 1 signed), & I also work for a major equipment manufacturer (not Brian's). In other words, when I heard about the man, myth & legend of Brian Heaton, that's what I always wanted to do. I'm blessed to have made a career out of this sport, without going any further than college hockey in a small town tending net.

I got to meet Brian at the Hockey Expo in St. Paul, MN in the early 2000's. He spent HOURS talking to me. Attached is the sticker that I proudly wear on my skull plate in his remembrance (see pic). Yes, my mask was made by Jerry Wright (but I have hidden Mr. Wright's contact info).

Brian literally changed the game for us goalies. Growing up in the late 80's & early 90's, seeing the custom creations of Sean Burke, Trevor Kidd, Jim Carey, Guy Hebert, Olaf Kolzig, etc. just to name a few. They looked SO COOL compared to the rest of them. Truly custom.

Yes, I wore Brian's/ & Heaton for my entire goalie career (head to toe). I LOVED my puckfoils in high school & college. He was truly a visionary & someone that even to this day I strive to become!!

    Cheers!

wish I still had mine it was on my Stacy mask that I sold

Mylec plastic mask, and a player skating out in an HM50... this photo is remarkable.

That’s actually a ProTech helmet & cage he’s skating out in

  9. 1985 had to play regular hand because my high school owned the gear and wouldn’t buy full right gloves for me. Cooper gloves, pants, C/A, Browns pads, Lange skates & Canadian stick.  Yes that’s a Mylec street hockey mask.  Only made that mistake once!
