This is Irvine, it is an outdoor facility that is covered.   It has been around a long time and had several different names.  They hold a couple big NARCH tounaments here each year.

My son needed some thing to help him move in the crease in the butterfly, especially since he's a little undersized....here's what I built:. 

The plates are made from the same plastic that roller fly uses but without the ball bearings.  I cut them to fit his pads with my scroll saw and beveled the edges with a belt sander to keep from catching on sport court, then attached them with industrial Velcro to keep from damaging the pad. 

I'm going to make a set for myself also as he slides as well with these as I do with roller fly.

Way to Mello to be roller jerseys.

I know the feeling.  Only thing I miss about playing roller was the price.  I used to play on three teams for the price I pay to play on one ice team.

I play on 2 teams and sub for a bunch of others, my youngest son plays in the rec league and we pay nothing.  Could play every night for free if I wanted to.
