Any goalies playing after hip replacement or resurfacing? in Health + Fitness + Training Posted October 1, 2021 I'm 53, had my right hip replaced December 12, 2016. I have played a few games with my 19 and 17 year old boys. I don't play often, but I do fill in once in a while with my old group. Can't say that I've got the same side to side power, but I am in the net stopping pucks! I went out last night to scrimmage with my 17 year oldest team and the only issue I had was working in the new skates I bought! First new pair of skates in 30 years! Oh...the hip was fine... Take it slow, listen to your body...you can continue to enjoy goaltending after hip replacement surgery. 1
