    I do.

    The T4000 is the GOAT.

    Let me check my inventory.

Please do. Buy or trade. I have a couple of custom 5500 pre and post reduction. Kid and the father :-). Not many people realize it, 4000 was a pre-proto for the Kipper spec. I am down to the last five. Should post some pics if folks like things like that.

  2. How about going back to felt or soft foam liner in the palm? Or you want a soft feeling all around? I had soft foam added to two of my palms, just for the feel. One is T2000, another is 4000. Outside material is all still the same on both. They feel amazing, especially with arthritis.

Since I have lost 40+ pounds, I tuck once again.

But for the days of yore when I didn’t tuck: braces under chesty, tie the breezers and chesty together.

Amen. Take 20 or 30 more years in net you start moving in the opposite direction. Things don't fit as loose as they used to 🙂. Untuck. Brown suspenders rule though. Not sponsored !

  4. There is always the box lax CA option. Old Eagle one or Boddam should be fluffy enough, no? For the L/XL finding jerseys may be an issue, 8XL-10XL or size 64 was the smallest would fit mine. Evil looking on the ice for sure. Mine was pre 12" max shoulder floater size. Each one was almost the size of Garth Snow pads.  Also, spray on insulation.

I'm not opposed to them but I do like the way the retail CCM units have the belt loops that work with the buckles on the CCM pants. There also tends to be a whole lot more CCM on the used market than the others. I've tried on Warrior, Bauer, and Vaughn. The warriors felt a bit too bulky for me but I did like the Bauers and Vaughns, probably need to spend some time looking at both of those brands again and seeing if I can try them on again.

Boss, these loops to work with CCM pants can be added at any furniture repair, an auto upholstery shop, or a shoe repair for the price of a case of beer. Just saying. Maybe find a CA that you like? You can also add those yourself, use dental floss to last longer. Just a thought. Did not read all the responses if I am repeating. Sorry MODs.

  6. You don't need to sew to update the sleeves. I got a couple of Jimmy Howards velos, both legal, and extra padding is added with four holes and cord. Tie in hard foam. For the uppers you can a lower part of the player shoulder pads, one with a velcro attachment and put that under the shoulder with a single wide loop. Cheap, protective but will add an extra velcro to deal with in the bicep area. My biggest problem with XFP is that the fit does not feel like a true Velo (turtle) or an Epic/Ventus (box with sides). Let me know if you need pics of the Howard mods for the lower arm or shoulders for upper. Also, it is legal if you get your gear check. Only adds to the bicep guard area. Stay safe.
