definitely post when you're done, I'll have to watch this video!

ya man. I have the mask mostly stripped down I'm gonna give it one more go with a strip and sand today and it should be ready for primer. The hardest part at this point is selecting a color. Im probably gonna do something straight off the shelf so I'm not buying more expensive paint on something I'm doing on my first go, but if it works out, I'll put a nicer looking job on my 961.
Funny how much correlation between car guys and goalies there is, always tweaking, tinkering, and modifying everything they can for that extra little advantage lol

Hey guys, working on refurbishing mask for next season. How can I prevent these streaks/lines from rattlecans? Fortunately I’m just using this paint job as a tester for the spring and repainting during the regular season so the streaks don’t really matter right now, but I’d like to know how to stop these for next time. Really happy for my first time though! cool topic here. I just went down this rabbit hole a bit last night almost by accident as I wanted to touch up the hood on my car that has peeling clearcoat, and quickly put the pieces together that I could also apply this to a couple of idle masks I've got. The key here seems to be, multiple light spraying passes, and to spend up on the clearcoat, as its really gonna be what brings out the shine. You can also find a good color you like off of a car, and have it put into a can for you. Here's a good video I found on how to get a good result out of a rattlecan job, I'll be doing a job like this on a Sportmask I have kickin around.

I'm in awe of the positioning of everyone in this clip.

only thing I can think of is when there's under a minute left in a period, you can just stop?

Try Perani's.   The damned Mid/Quick pattern is all they order Warrior sticks in apparently.   I'm legitimately amazed they work for you, because I have absolutely no clue how to do anything with them.   It's not like I can only use one pattern, I like both the Bishop and Mrazek patterns from Warrior and use 4-5 different patterns fairly interchangeably when I skate out.   I swear, I'd legitimately be better off playing with a full right stick and playing the puck backhanded than fumblefarting around with a Quick curve.   It's embarrassingly bad.

Good looking out! Ya man, its a weird one, I don't really know if its a matter of the stick just happening to work with how I handle the puck, or I didn't realize it was bad and just managed to work around it. I have a Warrior Backstrom pattern too that has a much better pattern for elevation and velocity but I can't get either of them to be better with it.

That guy with the three-digit numbered jersey is setting me off for...having a jersey with three digits on it.

ya man, its a thing lol.. we do a lunch league with a re-draft after every season, so its more efficient for everyone to keep their number permanently and just go team to team.

hate to be the bearer of bad news, but I'm also a 3 digit in this particular division 🤣

  6. Brand new here guys, but this thread speaks to me. Ironically, the Warrior Quick mid curve sticks are my jam, and i have an absolute bullet and very good long distance pass accuracy using them and buy any I see just cause they are hard to find now. As far as gear I dont like.. Really, Lefevre and Bauer gloves. I was at least able to get a Reebok P3 glove to act as a glove but my god the Bauers I just found to be completely unable to function with. Wouldn't close, wouldn't catch, and genuinely just had no idea how it was passed off as high end gear. I'd also go with any pants that are not Tacklas. I dont know what magic those guys did with their pants but anything and everything else just feels too bulky and interferes with mobility that I never experienced in Tacklas.
