All I'm seeing everywhere are XLs. I need a Large. The search goes on.

@pfeiffjay54 the Hyperlite is quite a different build in the body. Were you just curious to try something different?

The hyperlite I had was a size to small.  This came up on sideline for a good price so I gave it a shot.

Is anyone wearing Konekts who have narrow feet?  My foot would be a C width.  I read that by molding them they can fit a narrower foot.  Just wondering if that is actually the case.  In custom Trues now but after 3 years they seem to be loosening up.  Had them rebaked too.  Considering my next pair of skates and Konekt on the radar if they can actually be molded to a narrow foot.

I’ve got a c width foot. These fit amazing. I don’t have any heel lift issues. I’ve only done the initial bake when I got them like 6 months ago.

Nice! How did you find this cut out when using it?

I like how much control you have with it. Big fan after two skates. The 2” shorter was really tough though. If it was at 25” it would be my main stick. Probably just gonna be a backup or pickup stick now.

  4. 6”0’ with a 25” Mach. Was curious about trying shorter and found a garret sparks stick at the Ontario reign sale on Sunday. Had a pretty interesting cut on the top of the paddle. With the cutout it’s closer to a 23”. I’ll be getting it on the ice this weekend to see how it plays

Question for 3X users: Does the index finger protection on the blocker cause get caught up on the paddle of your stick?  It’s only really a nuisance when I choke back down after playing the puck or poke checking as it interferes a bit with getting all the way back down to where the paddle starts.  Not sure if it will get better with time (I’ve only used the blocker a few times) or if it’s something I might want to modify at some point.

Mine did for the first few games. After that it’s almost complete stop snagging. Every once in awhile it will snag when I’m trying to slide back to the paddle really fast but it’s pretty rare

Thanks for the info! I've never used or tried on a 590 but lots of the reviews are making that comparison. When you say your fingers slide in the 6.1 is it due to the closure being more finger to palm as opposed to finger to thumb? I don't think I'd like that, but the huge pocket does appeal.

Just guess work on my behalf but trying to paint a mental picture as there's very few reviews out there that go into detail other than comparing to 590 or suggesting it is "it's own thing" but no detail. Overall do you find the pocket change is worth it despite the difference in feel?

Idk what causes the finger slide. Even if i crank down the finger strap it still slides when I close it. Something to do with the shape of the palm. The normal g6 has a huge pocket too it’s not just the 6.1. If I could order the glove again I’d go with a g6 90° liner. Seems like that would get the same closure angle as the 6.1.

I'm glad I'm not the only one. Loved the G3, best glove I ever owned. Got the G4 and it feels soooooo different yet it's hard to explain why given the overall similarities in design.

I love the look of the G6.1, anyone have any experience to explain the difference in feel? I live in the UK and play FR so it is literally impossible for me to try anything before I buy!

I went from a g3 to a 6.1.  It feels nothing like a g3.  The g6 feels closer to the g3.  The 6.1 feels similar to a 590 type closure. The one thing I really don’t like is your fingers slide as you close it. The g3 felt like it was fully apart of your hand.  The big plus though is the pocket. Way bigger than the g3. I end up making what feels like more glove saves after switching.

  8. I’ve always done magic eraser and lectric shave. Works wonders. I just picked up an eflex5 glove that’s blue and white and Used the same method. It didn’t pull any blue out or wear any spots.

Could've made some comparison at local shop but I was more interested in the G6 catcher. The pocket appeared optically massive. Like MASSIVE. Which I consider an achievement since the G4 which I have for comparison isn't really small and has all of the 114cm circumference in use. On G4 there really isn't a lot of surface that they could've replaced with pocket. And Warrior still managed to do it. I don't know if it is a real benefit to have more pocket area but atleast it should help catching the pucks inside the pocket and give a few popouts less.

Off the shelf all of the samples they had were pretty easy to close but opening wide was not possible. But knowing that Warrior has been easy to break in it should be manageale.

I just picked up the g6.1 and the pocket is massive like you said.  Here’s a comparison to my g3.  It looks like they took out size in the fingers to add to the pocket

  10. Warrior just posted this picture. It looks like the calf strap Is going through the inner calf wrap. I wonder if this gives it a tighter feel?
