Hey Guys

I recently threw on my old koho 580s which are 34 inch and 86cm on the side of the pad. Guessing this has a plus1. I really enjoyed playing with these past few skates. Feel so maneuverable even with the weight of these old pads.

My question is what sizing would this equate to in CCM or Vaughn?

• I have an ATK of 18
• FTK of 22.5.
• I am only 5'11

My new pads are GNetik 4's are 34+2 and my GNetik 3's are 35+1. I think they share the same core for ATK. Knee lands dead center on both GNetik pads.

I also have an old set of 35+1 Koho 580s as well which fit the same, maybe a tad higher.

whoops sorry I was cut and pasting and forgot the info. all fixed.

Selling a set of pads, I can't get used to them for my style. Pads are in very good condition.

- replaced the boot straps

- Knee lock wings and new velcro knee locks added

- toe caps added and toe bolts replaced

- bungie toes added

Used only a handful of times since I received them. It does not come with thigh/knee guards. Buyer Pays shipping. Pads are located in Alberta, Canada.

leather Studio actually.

Been working on painting the leather on some of my Koho Gloves. I got sick and tired of Padskinz and the lack of product quality from sheet to sheet so I decided to paint the leather and going to see the durability. I think gloves are okay as compared to pads for wear and tear of the paint. Here is some of the work I did with just leather paint (Red)

Being angry that I sold them 5 years ago. I was able to track down the fella that had my old hard to find 580s and got them back to my home. Now I am actively looking for some gloves that will match these.

Red Kohos are the ones I just got back into possession. the other set is my current set and my original pair of Koho pads I ever bought. The 580 gloves are a recent find.

With all my catchers, I poured a ton of hot water into and around my glove like the Keeps method. I did find that my hot tap water and few in game uses made the glove stink a bit and I barely sweat in the hands so don't forget to Ozone clean your gloves after every season to kill any and all bacteria. 

My local shop does it for $35 a hockey bag, so I was able to fit 2 sets of gloves, pants, knee braces and my chesty which was a great deal.

Played with my X700s last night. The boot was stiff as hell even after baking and with my CCM footbed I took out of my One80s, It felt odd to wear new skates. I stepped on the ice and was not ready for the experience. It felt like I was skating with Swords strapped to my feet. Got the guy to do 1/2 cut on these blades and I think it's too much specially for these 3mm blades. Will need some wax laces for this break in process to get the skates to mold better over time to my feet as well as thicker socks. Thinnies were not good for this break in period. 

When the puck was coming in the zone and my D men wanted me to play the puck I was basically like this

I noticed that it was really tough for me to catch anything with the GNetik1 as compared to the 2. Strapping on the 2nd model is much better love the feel of inside glove. It has taken me almost a year to get used to catching with this GNetik 2(only play 1 - 2 times a week in winter) but it's miles better than the 1.

I don't have first hand experience with the x700 skates but I am going to assume no since there are different connections for the blades to the holder/cowling.  The cowlings/blades use a simple nut and bolt while the holder/blades have a trigger mechanism.

Hey guys, Presently wear Bauer One80 goal skates with Step steel in them. I got them around 2011. I just picked up some x700 cowlingless skates. I was wondering if I can put my step steel from the One80 into this X700?

Hello guys

I am a die hard GSBB user since 2005, who was directed to come this way. Kinda nice to see the old GSBB regulars on here. I am a ball hockey goalie who made the switch in 2003 to ice and has never looked back. The knees are busted up from use and my eyes and hands are nowhere what they used to be but I still like throwing on some retro gear and having fun. Glad there is an official forum online instead of the GGSU shenanigans I have to weed through.
