I ordered a pair on July 7th and got an email saying they shipped on the 8th, for what it's worth. So if that was an issue, it doesn't look like it's effecting time to put out the orders now. Hoping that the shipping time is on track, but covids gonna covid.

First new pads in 10ish years. Was going to get a custom set of G5s, but was convinced to check out how the newer gear fit before committing. The warrior 32+1.5 is about an inch taller than my 32+1 V4 pads, but my knee is in the middle of the block so I think it'll just take some getting used to. Also the first set wearing knee pads instead of thigh wraps. Waiting on a set of Prolaces as well. If only rinks were open to try them out

One recommendation based on recent experience:  Change the black pocket lacing to grey or literally anything other than black.  Dark lacing can make it harder to find the puck.  This may only occur rarely, but if you're going custom why not build for absolute max performance.  

Haha yeah. I always go with white skate lace in the pocket. I was just playing around with the look and didn't think to change that back. It'd be ordered white. 

Going to be ordering soon and having a tough time deciding on which set to go with. Any input?

Been going 14 years and only have had one really bad time, knock on wood. Fractured patella, ACL tear, and meniscus tear all in one go. I was 16 when it happened so I bounced right back, but now I'm really paying for it. Anytime it's cold or the weather changes is agony. A few concussions scattered about as well. I think I hurt my hip at some point too, since it really acts up in the cold as well, but I can't remember any time when I really pulled it or anything.

The price alone has me interested. $1,800 CAD for a full set of pro pads? Probably worth the gamble of the glove not closing right.

Of course this is just an anecdotal, one time thing...and I probably jinxed it just by saying it worked well so early 

Finally, an XP glove that matches the set! Because of course in true Vaughn fashion, one of the pieces HAS to mismatch the others. Thought they fixed that problem on the SLRs, but...  At least the standard VE8 graphic zones match, but the XP honestly looks like the better option IMO.

Just curious if you've used a double T to compare with the floating. I'm planning on getting a full set of Optiks in the next few months and have been going back and forth on ordering the floating anchor T or a double T.

Figured I'd do an intro. I was a member of GSBB way back in the day. Popped back over because I've been thinking about getting some new gear, but it seemed dead so I'm really glad I found this place! I've been playing for about 14 years now. Started at 14 and played Girl's AAA which turned into Women's ACHA D1. I've been in retirement ever since. This past year a team has asked me to be their goalie for multiple tournaments though, and it's really given me the gear whore itch haha.

Rocking my Vaughn V4 set from university still and really hoping to upgrade within the next 6 months. I did grab a new Hackva I found last year at some pro shop because my old one was pretty thrashed and I can't see myself wearing another mask. It's a shame they're no more.

I'm happy I'm not just lurking anymore and can contribute some!
