  1. 7 weeks and 5 days after ordering, my RGT2 / RG4 set has arrived (RGT2 Gloves, RG4 Gloves)!!!

Super happy with how they turned out, only thing would be how white on jenpro and weave is a bit off, but I suppose that makes sense (that they'd have different tones as they're different materials, not sure if anyone knows anything about this).

Will also be putting on TGN Spec Pro Laces on there instead of ARS or lace toe ties.

Delays at Warrior due to Volume. Been given an ETA of the week of July 1st.

Ordered RGT2 Pro leg pads, RG4 catcher and blocker Sunday April 28, just got word today that my set has arrived, picking up tomorrow! 😁

We get a lot of custom order images & it would be impossible to post every single one.  Sometimes the images go up before a customer receives it.  Other times it could be an image posted a few weeks after they received it.  If you have received your order & still want to make sure your gear gets posted on WarriorGoalie IG - Just shoot a DM to the IG account and we'll get it put into our posting schedule! :)

Good to know, that's a great problem to have!

All good, I was just trying to use your guys' IG channel to see if my set's complete, I'll be more than happy with getting them on the ice--and of course sharing pics of the set here with everyone.

It happened both in "standard" and "down to the calf" setups; it feels uncomfortable in where it sits at the back of my knee. I think it's how that piece of stretchy grey webbing is designed, where it is the width of the entire knee block and then tapers.

For the glove, I'm breaking it in by keeping it stretched open one day and wrapped closed the next. Hopefully I will get to use it for the first time in my game on Saturday night.

Oh strange, guess it's a bit different vs other brands, most just use a wide elastic strap. How do you like your OPTIKs?

Keep us posted on how the glove is!

Currently in Brian's Optik ((flx)). I have some EFlex4 pads on order (should come in late July/early August). I tried on the R\GT2 pads in the goaliemonkey store and didn't like how they felt, mostly related to how the strap at the knee sat on my leg. Warrior blockers have great finger protection, but otherwise feel clunky to me.

One other thing I like about the R\GT2 glove is that Warrior straightened out the cuff a bit from the R\G3; the curve by the wrist is much less pronounced.

Nice.. like the good 'ol days when every piece of gear is from a different manufacturer. haha.

It seems most folks with warrior opt to strap the one behind the knee down to the calf.

I ordered a G4 catcher, but the RGT2 catcher feels very comfortable in hand. Happy catching!

    That's good news.

Ordered mine on May 3rd and was scheduled to be done by June 12 (6 weeks) plus another for shipping. So this gives me hope I may get my set this week. :D

Was yours a full set? I ordered mine April 28th and still holding my breath. Does anyone know if Warrior posts every custom set they make on their Instagram? I keep hoping I'll see mine on there as a signal that mine will be shipped soon.

Review is up. I focus mostly on the glove because that was the most interesting piece to me.

I hope someone gets something out of it and that I don't come across as a total tool.

Great job! The original must've been a literary masterpiece.

Re: the catcher palm--yes I believe it's reinforced with hypercomp. They seem to have went HAM with hypercomp (which is awesome). Their pro+ knee guards have it too. A bit overkill, but it's a good balance of weight-saving and protection.

Re: the "hand slippage": I think it's the byproduct of having no strap at the wrist, but I actually think your hand isn't supposed to be as shoved in like in other gloves. The benefit of Warrior catchers is the wrist mobility and ability to angle your catcher to the puck with no hindrance so though it's definitely a different feel, I'm not sure if it's a negative thing per se, just... different.

Re: the wear on the thigh rises: Is it weave there? I feel like weave-like materials don't do really well rubbing against each other. On my old Optiks and a few other folks I know they had wear on the corners--luckily they didn't get worse over time. That's Primo though and of course different than Warrior's weave.

Thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts! I'm dying waiting for my set to come in.

    Oh god.

I spent the last hour writing my review just now and somehow clicked Back or another tab or something and lost it all.

I hope no one cares about what I think because Review Attempt #2.0 will probably be less coherent.

The long term review??? I've been waiting for that one! Better be very well thought and coherent. 😁

Nice set. Go for the weave sliding surface?

Yes I did--I really enjoyed Primo on my old Optiks, and miss the satisfying crunch of weave-like material on ice. I know Primo probably slides even better, but excited to try out Warrior's weave. The demo RGT2s I tried didn't have weave and I felt it could've used some help in the sliding department.

These are sick. I've got the 60 degree on my GT2 as well, and I realllllllly like it.

    Godspeed to you.

Thanks! Stoked to try out the 60degree.

    Got confirmation of my order.

They've given an expected date of June 12th. So ~6 weeks from date of order.

Ah. I ordered 1 day before you. Hope I get mine around the same time. The wait is agonizing! Luckily not as bad as the 10+ weeks for EF4s though... 😆

RGT2 Classic pads 33+2, White weave on outer roll and "knee rolls". Red as back nylon inspired by MAF and his VGK sets.

RG4 Gloves, Double T, Combo of weave and jenpro for texture. 60 degree palm--I've tried 75 and 90 on my old G3s, but realize the 60 degree probably more to my liking.

So not a first hand answer but a guy I know at the hockey shop who's been in every warrior pad since the G1 has said that weave on the sliding surface is almost as comparable as the airslide on the G4.

He heavily recommended that when I put in my order to go weave on the sliding surface.

So that that as you will.

Nice! I just demo'd rgt2 pads from THS, but they didn't have the weave. Think I'll pull the trigger on them, with weave on sliding surface!
