  1. My wife is the equipment manager for the local program. We need to purge a lot of vintage leg pads. Is there any place to donate the stuff for folks that appreciate this sort of thing? Some are older than others with some pretty cool designs.
  2. Found a few more The above leg pads, about 4 years of use then, and I still have the Brians Blocker and Glove. This would be winter 91-92, about 80lbs ago. The bottom one would be 1985 maybe. Sporting the cooper durosofts. Also had my first real glove, bought from Cupolo's somewhere near Niagra falls on the Ontario side. First glove with a cheater on it. Pretty sure the other goalie was wearing DR pads. I was incredibly jealous of the fine colored leather. Back when the chest protector was separate piece of equipment from the arm pads.
  3. Just found this forum. I have a 10 year old that has now (against my better judgement) caught the goaltending bug. I need to get up to speed on modern stuff. Here is what I was using in High School and College. Vaughn leg pads. I used them up to about 2 years ago. I think a mouse repurposed most of the stuffing. I think I bought these new in 1988 at Sports ETC in Arlington MA, which was an awesome place to get gear in the 80's. They had leather toe straps, but I converted to string. Also my Badger Goal mask. I won that at the Bertagna Goaltending camp in 92. At the time it was the first legal mask for high school and college hockey. It separates at the jaw line similar to a real helmet. I think Itech came out with the current style used today a few years later. I don't play often anymore, but I still use it. Originally painted for use when I went to St. Michael's college. Seeing the cooper durosofts was a bit of a trip down memory lane. Good thing the internet only shows the images and not the smells.
