I’m wanting to buy a Bauer 960xpm in Canada and then order a traditional cat eye cage for it because Canada won’t sell the mask with the cat eye cage already installed. Where is the best place online to order a Bauer made cat eye cage specifically for this mask?

The mask can only do so much... sports history is full of athletes that are “concussion prone.”  If that what seems to be his issue, think of the larger picture 

I've heard good things about those companies. I'm currently in a pro's choice that fits me amazingly and has solid protection, but I find it gets way too hot. Not sure why though. I'm looking for a mask that has comparable protection but that breathes really well. I'd like to be able to try one on first before committing to a mask, hence why I was thinking of a retail mask. Any other retail masks that fit my criteria? I played ncaa div 3 hockey this past year and might keep playing low level pro next year so I need something for that caliber

Now that the blue padded Bauer top has been out for a while now, can anyone comment on the quality of it? ie machine washability, durability, and protection from shots when combined with a neck guard/bib combo? I'm thinking of using it in combination with a Vaughn neck guard that has a bib. I was originally thinking of going with verbero, but saw the comments on it overheating, so I figure the blue bauer shirt might be a good option

Which kind of masks are you talking about?

If I buy the NME 10 from goalie monkey, am I getting the same quality mask that the guys in the NHL are using? 

Wanting to order a top end Bauer mask with a chin sling already installed. Does Bauer offer this as an option? Does CCM?

I am currently wearing a custom pro’s choice mask and love the fit, but find it gets hot due to weight. Is the CCM mask the NHL guys wear made off a mold of your head? If so has anybody used this mask and can they confirm if it’s cooler and lighter than a pro’s choice?

The main reason I went from a 5500 to an Eflex 3 600 break glove was the difference in protection and size between the two. Vaughn's equipment is well made, but has always been on the slimmer side. I didn't feel confident enough with the protection the 5500 had to offer, even with a pro palm. Even with a stiffened T and not pressing down on the T like a lot of people do, it would cave in on me on a regular basis when making a glove save. The Eflex 3 glove is the complete opposite - beefy, T closes well, and is much bigger in size. I think Vaughn's pads and blocker provide adequate protection and their pads are nice because they are so bendable, but most people go with a different glove because their gloves do not provide enough protection and break down very quickly.

Im getting a new set of Eflex 3 stuff and am not sure if I should go with a pro palm on the glove or a game ready palm.

I'll only have about a month to break it in before my first game of the NCAA Div 3 season. I'll realistically only have the set for one season and then probably get a new set.

From your guys experience can pro palm be broken in in a month or is it over kill and would you guys recommend game ready based on my situation?

Instead of trying to figure out which of the one hundred Bauer specs are best for your feet, just get a pair of VH skates and do a few simple measurements
