Dude in the front row with the royal blue jersey is checking his math to make sure he has just one up.
We're alright at hockey. Counting? Not so much...

Really big announcement coming soon from Pro Laces. Not a cheesy new product or anything... but I think validates the Pro Laces quality

@TheGoalNet Hope I didn't come off combative, certainly didn't mean too. Just meant to say I wear it with pride and hopefully people can understand that. That's a lot more succinct and clear than my first post!

I currently wear a Potvin King's replica paint job. I never thought of it as stealing the artists' work, it was certainly not my intention to do. That being said, I have no shame in wearing it. As I see it, it's my way to pay tribute to the artist and Potvin who is the reason I play goal. Whenever I get asked about it, I always say it's a tribute to Potvin, not plugging a random person who painted it on the side for me. For the record a GSBB member did it for me on the side back in like 2010 and I felt like I was helping out a fellow 'tender. All that being said, blatant ripping off of other's work is not okay in my eyes.

So did you give up on the suspenders or still use them?
The suspenders are just sitting in my hockey room in the package sadly.

GGSU HAL straps - no notice of shipment and had to ask for updates. Shipping time about three weeks
Suspenders - payment went through, then was made aware they didn't have the color I requested. Delayed a couple weeks. They finally arrived. The Jenpro was fraying and looked unfinished. Length of suspenders doesn't even allow me to get over chest protector.
Maltese sweatband - Ordered two, only received one. Contacted them and they sent another.

Like every other piece of gear, it needs to be broken in. My Brown was a little stiff at first and then settled in. I do agree though that the Brown arm floaters could be designed a little better.
Yeah, that's a fair description. I also wear the arms loose-ish so was never too much of an issue for me.

How well can you bend your arms in those if the elbow floaters are all one solid block with no splits? Can you touch opposite ears?
I've never tried to touch my opposite ear, but in my experience the "Brown arms aren't flexible" thing isn't actually true. I put my mask up multiple times a game for water with no issues whatsoever.

I recently bought the suspenders and the finish on the jenpro was borderline embarrassing. Not to mention the elastic was too short to use,.

Unless the mask already fits poorly?
17 hours ago, TheGoalNet said:Why do I need an extra piece of padding there on top of my existing 1/2" of padding? If anything, I would think that it could throw off the fit of mask.
The one shown on IG has two 1/8" strips so even at 1/4", I dont think it'll make too much of a difference fit wise. I did make the assumption that their might be different widths. I've tried Maltese GPS kits and can not stand the feel of the dots/strips. I still use rubatex for the full coverage of the inside of the mask even though I know Maltese would protect me better. Because of that I wouldn't mind adding a little more protection.

I don't know. Could be an interesting product.
I think it's a great idea. Any added protection is nice.

So is the new Maltese sweatband actually available or did they post a product on social media that you can't actually buy yet?

I don't want to turn this into a bash thread, but I'm disappointed in the "high quality" shock cord. It's already fraying and losing elasticity after about 6 months of playing once a week. I know it's cheap, but still. I know these things have been said before but there's just so much "other" stuff going on with that company that takes away from some of their good ideas. Seems like their brand name changes per social media platform, some vulgar-language filled social media posts, constantly changing pricing, out of stock issues, favoring pro customers and those through other sites like GGSU and lastly their promotional strategy (this one gets me). It seems like they run sometime every damn week or day so why am I going to buy something now when it might be cheaper later? Openly admitting that if you just talk to a Rep you get a discount code? Why would I ever buy anything at full retail price from them again? Rant over. I should really keep my concerns to myself because I really don't know what it's like to run a small business, but man that stuff gets under my skin.

A little premature for this sort of wear and tear?
@TheGoalNet If it makes you feel any better I've got a Canadian made version of the Reebok pro pants and they are ripping/wearing heavy in the same spot. For me, I think it's just rubbing against the velcro of the knee blocks?

Random side note - this is definitely something that would have gone down on GGSU...

Why hasn't a company like Monster developed a kit to migrate leather mushroom straps to elastic? I realize I could do it through buying random pieces, but I'm lazy and would pay for a kit to transform my XLT strapping to the new P2 strapping (or something close).
