If they were smart they would provide testimonials or videos of how they’ve held up over a few months of testing.  And not just from their lackies or reps

They would if they could find someone they didn't piss off with the wait times and delays, and all there other bull shit. He is too busy making sure all his buddies on GGSU are looked after 1st before the real paying customers.

  2. Don't like the spine on the back one bit. How many times are shots from behind the net or passes across the front your trying to block, going to take a weird bounce of that and go where you don't want it to go.

  3. I am interested too but am I going to get it when it's supposed arrive or 4 months down the road ? The kevlar cup is interesting for sure, it adds another $40 to the price listed. I thought it was already included in the listed price. May just source out the kevlar cup on its own and add it to what I have already. My other issue to, is how is the durability going to be ?  Is it going  to hold up or break down fairly quick like most of the other stuff ?

Neather am I. Now everything above xl is custom order/custom upcharge. Absolute BS. I was looking at buying pair to try after using Brown 2300 pants the last 5 years.

So, I didn't end up actually getting those factory mad gloves, but at PIAS today I found a Brian's GNetik pro glove for $140!

Nice pickup for great price. I had a set of Mad gloves, used them about half a dozen times then went back to my Gnetik  gloves.  I think you really need to spend the time and deal straight with Dennis and order what you want. They just never felt right to me. Mad stuff is great though,  I want to pick up knee pads from him.

These ones are the Nash ones i was talking about. Unless they've updated it the reviews i've seen have not been stellar

I haven't single issue with all three of them. It the same style of elastic Protechsport sent with my 1st mask and it's held up alot better then any of the elastic harness I got. The one from Wesal head last me about year, year and half before I replaced it with another one. The elastic that looks almost like Terry cloth never seems to last long. They absorb alot more sweat and are prone to memory stretch which seems to break them down more quickly.  What were the problems with the Nash ones? I have never seen them mentioned anywhere.

That's not my stick and I don't have physical specs. The basic description is that it falls between the old S190 and 1S. . . Maybe like an NXG?

From Bauer's vantage point, I don't believe any company has yet to catch the weight of the 1S and they have beat it by 10% with the 2S Pro. It's my opinion they expect this stick will compete with Premier 2 and CRS1. The 2S Pro will be off in it's own category. This is similar to how Bauer played the launch of the TotalOne. The OG One100 was a "pro" skate and the TotalOne was a pro skate with a special variation or an "ultra pro".

Another opinion I have pertains to the marketing of this stick. Most of the NHL guys with a 1S or 1X stick are still using an NXG stick. Given that the 2S Pro paddle will be obvious in a lot of pics, this gives Bauer a visual opportunity to explain what stick guys are using. The 2S could cover anyone using the NXG, 1S, or the actual 2S.

Lastly, the 2S pro might freak some people out because it's a dramatic design. Bauer appears to be hedging their bets with 2 version of the 2S stick.

From what your saying how this is between the S190 and 1S  it would be the same model as the currant SPro model that is offered right now to semi pro/pro goalies. Judging by your pictures it has the same material used on the paddle as my SPro too. I will get a better look at the paddle once am home and have ir on my tablet. It's too small on myphone.

**Just checked out the pictures again and the 2s is the same build as the currant Bauer SPro model that is only available to semi pro/pro goalies. It basically falls below the 1s/NXG for weight as it weights  alittle more then those models but the materials are a little more durable and stronger.

Did they just get these? I want a pair but if Canadian companies get them I'll order there.

They might not ship them to Canada. Because of the sales restrictions there cart usually blocks anyone from Canada ordering the big 2 brands. I'd love of pair of Winnipeg heritage pants.

I just asked GoalieMonkey if there can confirm country or origin.

Chances are they might come from overseas, most of the newer CCM pro pants are starting to comes from over there. I know when most of the pro pants before these hit the market it was hit and miss somewhere from Canada and others overseas.

I’m not surprised unless you wore them. They don’t look or feel special.

I'm not surprised ether unless you've worn another brand of custom skates ?

I am fine with that. I am also not trying to be argumentative, but I like candor. . .

If your open to sharing what technology, design, etc VH pioneered to the boot ifself, I open to continuing this discussion?

I am NOT anti VH or ripping on them. I feel their rapid success was achieved by fit and not the R&D of materials. Bauer and CCM are spending more on R&D

CCM is supposedly pioneering new materials that allow the boot to move in ways it never has before.

    VH contributions:

    • Easy availability of custom
    • Enhanced fit
    • 1 Piece skate design (Great tech, but that is not new boot materials)
    • 1 piece out sole + boot w/2 piece skate - This is a first and their biggest tech contribution

Well said. I couldn't agree with you more. I currently have 2 pairs of custom made Bauer and after finally seeing and holding a VH/True skate there is nothing super special to make me want to go out and get a pair versus what I currently own.

None of the gear has JRZ tags. But I would like to know a source that JRZ and Bauer parted ways. I figured the JRZ was removed since they don't want to advertise they are no longer in Canada, but someone is making Pro return gear for them and picking up on custom orders that overseas seemingly can't keep up with.

Both of my newish 1X gloves are Canadian made, pads are not.

Since when is JRZ no longer in Canada ? Company still has a large production factory in Quebec.

Foud that on ebay - older model, Valiquette RX9 - interesting size, looks bigger than 36+2:

Those were made back in the day when 38" was the total height aloud. But yeah they fit alot bigger then what they say there were. I would say they were closers to a 40" or 42". There was little things companies would do for the pros to keep there pads at the limit but once worn they were taller. I have pair of Garth Snow dx2 pads. They were listed as 35+3 but fit closers to 40" pad as they had no skate channel in the boot. The pad just sat on top of my skates.

  13. Have patience with the man, this isn't his full time job. He works for a company that does tire work for the heavy truck industry. He goes in there and works 8 to 10 hours a day then comes home from work and does his masks. In talking with him, he never intended to get this busy as it was only a side project for him and he said he will never give up his full time job for it. The money is no where near what he makes in his full time job to give it.

That's awesome did Brian's build that for you?  How much did they cost?  I am expecting my first in July.

It was a gift through my good friend Roddy Rod and myself. He loved getting them done, he couldn't wait until the day i was goimg to bring my son in for his 1st gear. Sadly that day won'the come now and my son won't get to meet the equipment Legend. Brian's will do it now but there are not a nice as there is no bindings on the pads. If you check there is instagram page there is a couple posted. I think there in the $100 to $160 range someone told me now.

How do you like the pocket change?

Love it, really changed the feel of the gloves as he redoes the insides of the glove too.

Here the before and after of it. The only I wished he made the pocket a little more deeper. With the waxed style lace it's very stiff so it needs to break in a little more. His work is amazing. I almost bought a set of knee pads from him but then I found a used pair for half the price. Once I was ready to send payment the buyer backed out.
