How best to train at home w sliding plates

Recommended Posts

What would work well to put down on your home’s hardwood floors so that you can practice sliding on your pads that have sliding plates on them?  (My son plays inline goalie and we don’t have ice or a sport court nearby so he gets zero practice)

Completely naive question but is sliding a thing in roller? I played a lot of roller hockey and the best technique we had was basically a drop-knee t-push. Granted i havent played since 2007 so sliding was fairly new even on ice.
