  1. man the customizer is buggy as hell.  the desktop version doesnt give you the option to change the supreme logo color and the mobile version gives you all the options for both graphics.  Also no way to change the lacing color on the welting to black, but I am pretty sure thats an option if @TheGoalNet set is any indication.

That will be available. I just order my sets without it.

Comes loose in the bag. I did not get the chance to put it on yet. I will be using it.

are you allowed to post pics of it or is that still classified info?

its the vapor strapping system essentially with the option of there professor straps.  I will try to post some pics later when I have some time.

I will have a party if the professor strap option is legit.  Vapor strapping with a professor strap is pretty much perfect

This is off topic, but have you had any issues with the assembly lace on your 2x stretching when using the Kenesky strap? The lace on my first set of 2x Pros stretched about 3 inches so I kept having to readjust my kenesky straps. I've been afraid to put them back on my second set.

it stretched a bit but nothing I couldnt pretty easily fix after I removed them.  My kenesky strap was elastic though so it probably didnt put as much pressure on it as the nylon one would have.

Which way were you slipping off? I'm just starting out, and I fear that I'm slipping off the bottom towards the calf a bit and I'm wondering if adding a Kenesky strap would help.

off the back.  I was wearing pretty bulky knee pads at the time and that combined with the relatively small knee block on the vapor pads was causing the problem I think.  The Kenesky strap helped a ton.

I added one as well to my 1X pads for that same reason.  I'd love this option because I'm not 100% comfortable attaching my professor strap to the cord that runs through the pad.  My strap is nylon and I'm worried it's pulling too hard on the cord.  All that to say, if these were included, that's a great option to have much like Brian's did with the Optik 2s.

I had mine made out of elastic so it didnt put too much pressure on the cord, but yeah I agree its not great and best to be avoided.  Hoping for a stock option.

Are those tabs for a professor strap (or rotation strap) I've circled in blue?  Sorry for the yellow color, I tried to highlight it and it didn't work so well with the red backdrop of the pads.Capture.thumb.JPG.1f2a450d5fa0bb4612099016e1aa89a6.JPG

would be awesome if a professor strap was an option.  I added the Kenesky one to my 2X pads and it made a huge difference.  Before that I was slipping off the knee stack once or twice a game.

Feels like it takes longer every year, but likely it's all pretty much the same.  I remember ordering my 2S Pro set when the pre-orders opened and they were in the shop on retail release day which was basically bang-on 8 weeks.  So yeah, likely another month away from actual details.

thats what I am planning to do with the ultra sonic assuming they expand the customizer a bit beyond what was available for the 2S.  Don't want to get white based pads again.

  9. i have had issues with this in the past and the usual culprit is not having my hands out front and engaged as much as they should be.  When they are further back I tend to naturally drop them as I go into butterfly and just don't have the time to get them back up if the shot is high.

If you wouldn't mind, post what size you purchase and what size you wear in your 2Xs? Graf has historically run 1/2 size larger and are typically a touch wider than all others. For example, I measure slightly more than a 9.5 US shoe and my foot width is also just slightly wider than a D at the mid and forefoot. Graf 9Ds in the 750 goalie boot have always been the ticket, as an 8.5 allows my toes to touch the cap in a non-athletic position. My Bauer 1Xs are 8.5EE and fit close to the same.

I wear an 8.5D Bauer 2x and ordered an 8.5 regular in the Graf.  Width felt pretty similar between them but there was definitely more room in the graf.  A combo between a deeper heel pocket and the padding being a bit less thick.

  11. really curious to see how they have changed the strapping, if at all.  It has been basically the same since the G3 so you would think an update is in order.

  12. I have a feeling the angled knee block and external break are mainly there to show off those being custom options now.  would be surprised if stock sets had that external break.

The documented Bauer quality issues were specifically not with the internals though, it was externals on 1S/1X.  I'm not asking this to be a jerk, but where are you reading anything about the internals breaking down that isn't just random online comments?

Like coop said, I have specifically heard of Vaughn pads breaking down in various different fashions, especially being some of the softest of the big brands.  But I don't want to just parrot that there's nothing wrong with Bauer internals, genuinely interested if there's been internal breakdown issues.

yeah most of Bauers issues are almost entirely related to the cortech skin and some generally lower quality control. The one thing you dont have to worry about is the pad internals losing stiffness or anything like that.

Vaughn internals were notorious for breaking down but that has gotten better over time.  I dont think its anything you really need to worry about with a modern line of pads.

  14. Definitely a hell of a lot better looking than the ve8.  It’s hard to tell from that view but I hope they thinned out the profile a bit
