Well, I do need a third CR1. So obviously I should be first in line.

Should do a raffle and donate money to charity!

trying the step extremes tonight closest thing to two piece true skate pics for comparison and attack angles.

The true holder is just a little taller than the ccm with extreme blades in it. Ccm setup has a slight better attack angle though.

So you're a betting man eh?

I bet that you can't send those sticks over to me. If you do, you get mad internet rep points. I'll 'like' every post on this forum to boost you to the top of the leaderboards.

If you don't send them, you have to buy me a set with no internet points.

    Deal?

Cool. I'll PM you my address.

Maybe I should do a giveaway with my last one its taped up but never used!  :challengeaccepted:hmmmm.  I did cut it to be shorter but beggars can't be choosers!

Going to retail for $670 CDN is what Bauer told me, but any pros using it?

$649.99 will be Canadian retail.  My sources are pretty accurate ;) unless they changed the MSRP.

It helps that in the case of True skates there's no break-in time needed for a replacement pair if it does get broken. Though us beer leaguers generally don't exactly have the funds to take that chance.

I will say that they have the least amount of break in.  I have pretty sensitive feet  when it comes to skates so it took a little bit of adjusting to the boot.  Hands down best fit though!

I’m really confused. This pic from GGN’s IG makes it look like the 2S Pro stick does not have the twisty part on the upper paddle that the 1S has. This is what I’m hoping for but keep getting conflicting info. Does anyone know for sure?

It will have the dip like the 1S and S190 .

Great thread as I am also trying to decide between the 1 and 2 pc.  My local rep says to run with the 2 pc in case the 1 pc breaks and because 2 pc offers various blade holder/cowling options.  Leaning that way however similar to Punished Goalie I am still keen on the zero loss of power and the lower height with the 1 pc.  Decisions, decisions.....

With the "two piece" you can literally use any holder.  You can use a cowling or go the cowlingless route is really is the most universal.

    19 hours ago, ruckus007 said:

I would go 2 piece. The holders can delaminate and get damaged from shots, then you'd have nothing to use.

I have yet to hear of any issues with the one piece.  I was talking to an ECHL equipment manager and he said a lot of guys are switching to them but he has the same fear if they damage the skate they have to replace the entire skate.
He hasn't seen any that have broke though.

Anyone here have a recently-made pair of the one-piece goalie skates? All the reviews I can find on them are somewhat old and pre-date the True take-over. Just wanting to hear more feedback on them and if there have been any significant changes since the initial release.

I am very much enjoying my two-piece boots with One80 cowlings, but looking to try something new during the spring/summer. I’m really attracted to the one-piece thinking that the flatter, lower, setup would be good along with the cowlingless attack angle and the concept of the low energy loss.

    Any feedback would be great.

I believe the changes for the one piece were just some esthetics!

I tried it on yesterday as we have a sample one and I find that I don't like the flatter setup up.  I was trying to do a push with it and struggled.   Tried the two piece and did not have problems with it.  I do really like the look of it but the holes bother me in it.

they have no flex so you will have 0 energy loss in your pushes that's forsure.

I am converting my old VH skates with one60 cut holders to the new ccm holder which acts as a "cowlingless" skate but still has a toe cap and heel cap to see if I can get a better push.  Will be putting step steel in it as well just the regular height ones.  Will do a review on it.

I understand Bauer has some work ahead of them on how to do custom work for the masses. My point is really more about the stock graphic and how there should be more options for base besides white without having to be considered a custom job. I actually kind of like the stock graphic... but maybe with a black base or something.

I would agree as I would have totally done the reverse of what I ordered Primarily Black and than I would have either done white or silver.

Side note none of the additional requests I asked for could be done.  So I can't get a plus 2 or the others at this time :(

Agreed. As neat as it is to see what Bauer is able to do for the Pro's, it really means squat till it can come out at the consumer level and at a decent price point.

I have this feeling that their custom graphics are just going to cost the consumer a ridiculous amount.

I was quoted potentially $500 to do a custom graphic (not that I can do one at this time).  They haven't sorted the pricing out just yet.  It's just the amount of time that will be spent doing the custom graphics for people.

Will this be 1X strapping or just the wraps?

I want strapping wrap/landing. as its easier to put on but I don't think i would really care either way but my preference is towards the 1x calf setup

  12. 26 minutes ago, Aquilzz said:

Is that basically just going for a +2 thigh rise? I knew you could do custom sizes through Bauer but they're still labelled as S, M, L, etc.

They probably do.  Only thing is I think they are trying to streamline the launch so it doesn't cause too many back orders like the last time.  I'm sure they are gonna be able to handle the load I am just worried about the custom graphics if they are gonna be able to keep up.  I hope I can get the plus 2

  13. My custom 2S set I submitted!  Should have them here by end of May!

    Plain set really
Only difference from a stock pad is a soft boot break

additional custom options I asked my rep to get done for me are a medium pad with large length and the 1X calf as I like how simple it is.

I had this problem on my HP12A. Was annoyed, but a cobbler got it fixed for $20. Was in those pants new with the repair for like $175?

I just sewed it up! Just a pain for a $300 pant and second day stitching came out!  at least the Bauer has held up for at least two skates just found the knee wasn't wide enough for my knee pads!

Hey guys, Presently wear Bauer One80 goal skates with Step steel in them. I got them around 2011. I just picked up some x700 cowlingless skates. I was wondering if I can put my step steel from the One80 into this X700?

They will not fit at all.  The steel is two different widths to start and the blades connect in a different fashion as well.

  16. I am a dealer and I can't even get Canadian made CCM gear!

Side not new ExtremeFlex II pants are nice but same problem I had in my premiers inside leg stitching coming undone after 2 uses!

really? i was looking at monkey sports eu and a custom set of eflex 3 are 2000 euros and a stock pair are 1700, so i would assume that it will be that same for the p2

That might be a Europe thing only than here in Canada and I am pretty sure US there is no up-charge for a custom set!

  18. 5 hours ago, Znowleopard said:

Absolutely, if i can dig up the money for a custom set i will, but i will probably just go with a stock pair depending on the price difference.

There should be no price difference for a custom CCM set

    Maybe... ???

I got the Medussa prior to full launch as I was working for them then. I have had no issues with it other than having to finagle it as I use an OTNY and the harness was not made for use with the old backplate.

My one strap the ring separated I was taking it as a fluke as all the others are fine!

I was considering ordering Medusa straps to show off mask art better. I’ve seen some quality concerns for other products, but no one has mentioned the Medusa. Should I skip it and go a different way?

    Dragon

I've been using the madusa harness shortly after they launched it with only one problem the silver ring came undone which i don't care i just took it off and continue to use the harness!  Jeff offered a replacement one for me I declined as I don't really care!
