@thebigm - have you looked at Pro Laces? The Armour straps are pretty much tanks. It’s a thicker cord than Monster and it’s wrapped with a waxed skate laces for durability.

Michel is also very EASY to deal with

I have thought about it but i find it hard to sell at $40 a pop.

Do you happen to have an ETA on the new Brian's Smart toe ties?

Do you mean that the TLG is failing to sell, or that the units themselves are failing?

    Thanks!

units are failing as I have had about 10 returned and I have broke my personal set I had made, some were okay but a majority of the ones I sold have been returned.  If people are interested in them I am clearing them out you can pm if interested as I have a decent amount of them.

I am replacing them with the new Brian's one they came out.  The only problem I have with Brian's is that they aren't selling replacement cords for them so if you break them you have to buy another whole new set!

From what I was told.  The Bauer announcement was held up because of the CCM announcement.   But who knows Jeff lies through the roof with every other word.

They are doing something similar to monster same as the H.A.L ends except they are using the stretch lace like the Bauer 2s 1x have etc.  I don't like it personally as I have some premiers 2.5 juniors that have these on them and they aren't setup very well as I have struggled to find the best way to put theses on kids skates.

  3. I didn't hear this from Monster but I have a feeling things are being delayed as the new Bauer pads are going to be featuring the Monster HAL strap!

Side note I have been waiting for a month on replacement HAL straps for our store as the TLG have been failing!

PSS I still wear the regular monster HAL and they are holding up well!

Is this available to your average consumers? I asked Bauer about it and they said nothing would be available on My Bauer or anything

    What’s the minimum order?

I can do it for the average consumer yes.

Not defending Bauer, but I know why P31 only

Bauer uses mold tooling to make the Ergo Spine. Due to the popularity of the P31, up front costs, and the timeline to bring this to market they decided to only launch with P31. I don’t know a date and it could be a very very long way out, but at some point you’ll be able to order more patterns

If you go to you retailer there is actually more patterns available in the 2S and 2S Pro.  You just can't see it for Bauers website/customizer

Reason I know as I am doing a custom stick order for our University team and was given the custom form and it has more patterns available.

lol to me that kinda sounds like Bauer from what I've been told about their costumer support . I've been also told by Bauer that zipper teeth falling out isn't regarded as "manufactures defect". I also went to my pro shop to ask if they could contact their rep for some help with a new zipper at least, they said the same thing to them. It doesn't help that almost all of my gear is Bauer, never had problems with them until recently.

I was told 8-10 weeks I ordered a week before you and I am suppose to get it and the end of June.  I was told 8-10 weeks when I did my pre-order.

Played my first game last night and was very surprised and pleased on how easy the transition was from my Vaughn V3. I was very comfortable as soon as I threw it on with my full gear. Obviously, there are some minor adjustments that will go away after I get a few games. When crouched low, I felt a little discomfort in my side peck and armpit area but I'm not sure it will break in after a few more games.

The arms are very mobile and the puck absorbs nicely with the D30 technology. There was no point during the game where I felt I couldn't comfortably move, especially going in RVH position. I had a few scramble plays and the unit didn't need any adjustment after I got up. My helmet never got caught in the shoulder area and my vision wasn't obstructed.

I also loved the way I looked in it. I didn't feel like I was big marshmallow and the shoulders square off really nice. Overall very satisfied and happy with my purchase.

I was always hesitant to go with CCM because of their bulk in equipment. Freddy Andersen wears a CCM chest and liked the way he looked this season, so I decided to give this a look when it came out. I waited a few months and really glad I did. My only negative is the where the buckles in the back are but I'm sure i'll get used it after a few more games. Again, coming from an old Vaughn V3 there is going to be a few adjustments.

I can't wait to play again.

    @TheGoalNet

How are the belly blocks?  I find they seem a little flimsy to me compared to other units and not very thick.  Did you get any shots to the belly?

Measure your FTK and use the size chart.

I would consider going conservative as well

I have worn GT 35+ G4 35+  1&2S Large 35+1 but with the vapor I wore a large and due to it's design of the knee block being smaller I slip down/off the knee block and would prefer a medium.

@thebigm When you say break them in using a skate oven, what exactly is that process? Just bake it? Tie it closed and let it cool down? I have a 1x glove that refuses to break in with keeps33 and I'm desperate.

I just put it in for 6 minutes and wore it around the store opening and closing it a bunch.  I played a little catch with my co-worker as well.

Lol, I should've known. Googling OCT took me to some East coast teacher union pages, and while I get being a teacher is tough, I didn't they they were supplementing their income by building goalie gear.

And vid works. Thanks. Looks to me like a typical stiffness of any 1S glove off the shelf. (I know the 2S in the vid is baked once)

I will post a video of my personal 2S glove when it comes in without baking and than baking!

They are shipping out sometime in May.

Can you clarify what OCT stands for?

And on both firefox and mobile, your video doesn't work for me.

    October lol.

Here is the video let me know if it works!

They had both. Since the "try its" were medium, I wasn't really going to in depth with them. Most of my observations were from the S they had.

But would love to hear the differences. Only thing I could visually notice was the lack of graphic on the gloves (and the obvious try it graphic on the pads).

This is from my email from my rep about the try it set:

    Some notes below:

    ·        These are meant to be demo’d on ice by consumers and advertise for guys that have White demo size runs
    ·        These come with “blank graphic” Supreme Catcher and Blocker
o   These were all built in OCT so we find them a little stiffer than the confirmed stock gloves shipping for launch (built Nov to April)
o   I’d advise if you are in the store- show your dealers that these break in much easier after 6min in a skate oven!

The glove breaks in amazing after 6 min in the oven as you could see if my fapping video!

Tried on the 2S Pros in person today. Felt crazy light. They are thicker than the 1S (at least on the side gusset) for durability reasons but are still lighter. Crazy stiff as well. I can fairly easily bend a 1S at the boot and thigh rise, but the 2S wouldn't budge unless I used an unreasonable amount of force.

I can imagine their new Powerlite material is going to give off even hotter rebounds.  It feels stiffer on the face as well.

Glove feels WAY better than the 1S/1X. Feels more natural to me and could open/close it about 90% right off the shelf. Blocker feels the same as 1S (in a good way).

Graphic looks really cool in person as well! And knee landing feels just like the 1X which I enjoyed. The CRS strapping is the same and is overly complicated if you ask me.

Wanted to take advantage of their "Try It" pads for an actual on ice overview, but didn't exactly have $1000 for the required deposit ?

If you seen the try it pads and gloves they are slightly different than stock. I will look for my email that explained the differences from the retail models.

That's actually a really nice way to distinguish demo pads.  Hurray for digital printing

They are! But a pain in the but if you want to sell them later lol

In comparing the 25” Mrazek and 25” Price... The Warrior is around .75 to .5 inches shorter

    Thought Warrior was pretty standard

I thought so as well!  I found this to be a problem in their composite line.  As I was gonna try a 25" but I compared it to a 25.5" custom CCM stick I have at home and it was almost the same height!
Maybe @Kirk3190 can chime in on it.
