This is pre-butterfly or pad on the ice. Sit nicely on my leg and square, no issues there.
When I drop my leg it also sits nicely on my leg. Good rotation. I tried at-the-knee for velcro this time.
And when I move my leg back up, like I would in recovery, it sits crooked on my knee and leg now until I brush it back with my blocker hand.
i tried those and hated them. Had that same exact problem. Tried everything strapping wise. Couldn't do it. 1S fared much better for me.

My pro stock Reebok P1 Bernier definitely has beefed up arms. The chest doesn't feel particularly different than other P1s I've handled.
I've handled a pro return Budaj CCM Premier and the shoulder floaters are maybe 1/4" thicker than stock. Arms look reinforced as well.
The Goal Crease carried a few SMUs -
Colored Reebok P1 (red, blue, maybe white??)
Colored CCM Premier (blue)
CCM Crazy Light which was I believe had the CCM Pro/P1 body and the P4 armsLet's see how good my memory is on the first and third ones...
You are correct on the bottom C/A. P1 with P4 arms, which were really good arms actually. I love them on the P1. Except the body was utter shit.

@ruckus007 - interesting, I remember the ribs, but I thought that was a special for Lou or someone
Lou, Price, Hiller and a few others all had the extra padding. Those are just the ones I know of anyway.

@ruckus007 good call actually... I’m curious if the pro stock ones are made off shore or here. I also thought CCM didn’t really do the beef up kits with old P1 or 11k, maybe that’s changed?
@TGC-Rance - Any insight on this? I know your shop has carried special edition CCM units
I remember the old P1's had side rib panels, I THINK beefed shoulder caps and there was lexan in the stomach (A guy I used to play with had a NHL Pro return and we can feel the plastic in the belly blocks).
I inquired TGC about their special CCM's and it was just blue =p

I AM curious to how the pro premiers compare to the off the shelf pro. They LOOK the same, but I used to have one and it was meh at best. I can't imagine me surviving a pro level game in a retail unit.

So I just got to test out my new Vancouver colored fit 4, coming from the old spec San Jose 12A CCM pro returns.
The fit 4 is essentially the same fit as my XL pants, however a bit more snug at the waist.
The front lower belly pad is now permanently attached at the top and bottom of the front crotch elastic panel, which replaces the traditional laced up panel.
I found this set up provided better movement and less "bunching" and "binding" between my tucked c/a and jock.
Front thigh panels are now curved and gone are the "floating" outer and inner thigh panels. The inner ones are half the width, as the curvature of the thigh panels partially cover the inside thigh.
One can still unbutton the pant shell from the rib/spine panel part for cleaning/repairs.
Mobility IS in fact better in these pants, and they move with your body in a much more fluid fashion, as my old pants sometimes felt like loose pendulums sway about during quick lateral transitions.
Shots to the front thigh and hip flex joint did not reveal any weak spots. Felt just as strong and confident in them as in my San Jose pants.
I would recommend these pants to anyone, given then price, fit and performance. As fit 4 seems to feel similar to the XL pants, I would assume fit 3 = Large, Fit 2 = Medium.
Feel free to ask any questions.

I know Bernier tried a Simmons and Passau before. Then got stuck with CCM =p.
I want to know the construction of the C/A's though. They're noTHING like what we get. I've held a Backstrom C/A a couple years back and noted beefed shoulders, biceps, forearms and plastic in the belly blocks.

I like this thread, as I never knew what some of the pro guys wear under their jerseys.

The rubatex is beige, but I was wondering what the black foam is.
USUALLY the same, or it would be a closed cell PVN (vinyl/nitrile) foam

My Mage RS has rubatex foam but my older Ricochet has the black foam. Not sure what that is called. Is that the "better" foam?
nah. It was beige in color.

I thought they used pretty good foam. I remember it was the nicer 3M foam instead of the nash ones that harden.
At least that's what they used when Tony refubed my Mage.

I've seen it live. Very comfortable, wears very snug and close to the body.
Materials are shit. Arm protection is garbage.
