Interesting article about the mess in Arizona. Honestly surprised that the owners even let Gary back this guy and offer him another team.

Brian's does it also. Don't know the upcharges on it. I believe most of the small ones you listed do it , but once you get outside on stock colors, everything is upcharge on top of the regular price.

Just curious, about a year or so I bought me some 4mm Tydan blades for my Bauer X700. Does anyone make 4mm blades for
I have looked but haven't found any myself. Would love to find a pair so I can have spare set to go with my Bauer NXG custom skates. I keep checking ebay and even sideline swap for pro return ones.

Wait, that doucher owns Fusion now?
I remember the post on here, his family owns Fusion mask ( mother I believe runs it, makes the masks) and then he branched out and started that business. There are few threads on here about it.

I remember in the early 2000's the unicorn chest protector from RBK, the pro spec p1 which was based off the previous Koho 590 unit. They couldn't be ordered from a store, the only way was pro returns from the various pro/semi pro and Jr hockey leagues ( same now as the CCM pro unit) . Because of the new rules with smaller chest protectors coming out they changed the arms on them. I had an actual new Koho 590 pro spec, same as the p1 pro spec at the time that came from Jason Labarbara ( same colors as below but with the RBK sized arms) . On the old GSBB I was getting PM's with crazy offers for it because no one had ever seen a pro spec Koho unit. Later on a few years after the craziness of the unit, Roddy at The Goalie Crease worked with Reebok and came out with a retail p1 pro spec unit ( last picture), and that ended the whole unicorn label with unit.

I had this same problem, looked at that same instagram post, then saw the price and instantly crossed that off the list, haha. I went with ppf tape and it's done the trick very nicely. You can't even see it since it looks like the glossy finish of the skate. I'd say give it a try.
What were they asking for those skate protectors on instagram ? I seen them and was wondering about them. Thanks

I was looking at old pic of my favorite goalie, Olaf Kolzig and I noticed something I had never seen before. When the Heaton 10 came out, Kolzig had his own graphic called the Heaton 10k. Don Simmons was the only place I remember that sold it. Kolzig would wear that graphic for a while and even put it on the Block add pads with the 10k marking. What I didn't know until today is that he apparently had Heaton 12 on them for a short time (see last pic)! Does anyone have any more information about this?
I know the white CCM gear he was using was the CCM Blockade gear line, just relabelled in his graphics. The dark based sets where interesting as they seems to be a mix between Heaton 10 gear and some of his personal specs. His blockers were ether the 10k model and later on he switched to the Blockade model with his graphics. I use to go to Simmons alot and loved the 10K line they had. Ended up leaving one day with the blocker, and to this day it was one of my favorites that I have used.

How quickly do you need a new mask ? If you can wait go the Protechsport route and get the mask style you want too. Michels work is amazing and you'll get a custom fit mask made to your head not off the shelf fit. I own 2 of them and couldn't be more happy with Protechsport masks.

So, based on no branding on the neck piece of this one it's likely the beefier model?
No it isn't. They will all look like the picture of the one Richman posted. The CCM pro stock units now all look the exact same as the picture he put up.

Interesting if Delia isn't going to keep using the Eclipse as he's only been in them for ~1 month.
He goes through a few sets of gloves a year. He doesn't use just one set of gloves a season.

Bauer pro department c/a
in Chest Protectors - C&As
Posted
While not a Bauer Pro unit, this is a Bauer Pro department unit straight from Kay Whitmore's office. Came across it for sale back in March for a wicked price and picked up Had a amazing hour and half visit picking it up. The person I got it from has been best friends with Kay since child hood and Kay gives him gear all the time that comes into his office. He got two of these units from Kay and had a set of CCM Axis XF gloves he just got from him. Great visit and time getting this, and great guy to know now.
Used this unit a couple of times and crap I thought the CCM AB18 was beefed up big time, I ended up selling the one I had. This unit is maybe even more protective if not on the same level, never felt a single shot anywhere. Arms, bicep, chest arm are all soild. Interesting when comparing it to a stock unit and some other Pro units I seen on sideline. There are few different things done to this one.
