Does anyone use a Hi-Lo Chassis on converted skates? I recently made a change to get a taller wheel, and this weekend I felt like I was "Slipping on a Banana Peel", even fell about 6 or 8 times backward.

I previously used the Tour goalie skates with a 59MM 5 wheel chasis.

This weekend I was in a Mission Hi-Low Chassis on a Cowlingless Bauer Skate, 72MM across (couldnt find 68mm on short notice for a tournament).

How should I choose the wheels?

68MM, 68MM, 68MM, 68MM (I have this setup outdoors and slip out too)

72mm, 72mm, 72mm, 72mm (I liked the height indoors for mobility)

68MM, 68mm, 72mm, 72mm - Using the hi-lo chassis, im afraid going to one size wheel might be the reason, the 3rd wheel only touches with my weight in.

Lookign for suggestions after 15 years in the 47mm/59mm hell.

I used hi-lo for a long time. (I haven't played roller in a few years though)

My setup for Hi-lo was to use stickier wheels on the front two and hard wheels in the rear. The toes allowed me to push off better but the harder heel wheels let me slide a little when needed (closing against the post).

Same as you with the taller wheel setup with attack angle. I actually wore player skates for a long time in the 2000s for that reason. The biggest issue was that the player chassis would dent. Such a pain mid game.

Try mixing wheel durometer to see how you do too.

Downfall with stickier wheels was that I would break them all the time. So just make sure you have spares all the time and check them. Solid hub wheels too as opposed the ones with the open larger hubs. I think I rolled the urethane off a few of the larger hubbed wheels. What a pain.
