  1. Possibly, lower buckle looks different too.
  2. I’m guessing that’s also Fahrenheit for us Europeans lol.
  3. To anyone that’s had to replace the lower buckle does the clip part screw all the way out? So far I’ve not had the issiue, but I’m trying to source a spare part from a retailer in the UK just in case and they seem pretty adamant that the whole buckle has to be replaced. Thanks in advance.
  4. So are the Bauer Konekts game changers? For this goalies feet I say yes!!!! Once I had them on my feet in the room I had a definite pain across the top of the foot from the lower buckle so played with the settings and reduced the tension they felt much more comfortable, I should note when they hurt and I stood up the pain went away instantly. Walking out to the ice I could already feel the difference it was like walking in a super comfortable set of trainers but had so much ankle support it was unreal. Stepping on to the ice instantly I was like I totally get what the intention was for this skate and it worked. Responsive and supportive, I could hold edges longer with less strain on my hips, edges felt much sharper than they did a week ago in my 1s’s. RVH felt more fluid, butterfly pushes felt stronger. I’m sure this skate will be 100% hit and miss for people but for me it was a 100% noticeable game changer.
  5. I remember the Bauer rep guy saying that the lower buckle should only be worn snug anyway, but alas I’m sure all will be fine. It’s not like anyone here has had one pop open during play.
  6. Congratulations my left foot is practically a 12 and my right 11 1/2 didn’t want to risk it, in the UK so shops don’t seem too keen on letting you baking them and seeing how they feel. Luckily felt no pressure any where other than the toe, anyone feel the lower buckle seems a little too easy to pop open compared to the top buckle?
  7. Almost got a pair today, sadly my size was not in stock tried on an 11 but was still a-bit too tight around the big toe. 3 week wait to enjoy the future lol. The skates felt amazing despite this and well constructed.
  8. Ahhh I see that makes sense then. Looking forward to seeing a pair in person.
  9. I’m guessing that due to the heat these skates are heated up to you wear a special sock so you don’t burn yourself to some extent, above they are mentioning them needing to wear gloves to handle the boot after baking so I’m assuming the same is needed for your foot.
  10. I can imagine it will, if the Konekt becomes popular I’m sure it will give the incentive to Bauer will work on bringing it to lower tiers, although I can imagine it would be hard to find a good but cheaper cost version of all the things that make this skate work and hopefully be durable.
  11. Watch this guy explain the boot. Also the shell is separate from the liner so you can get your larger feet in the boot and the liner gives you your inner padding.
  12. Looking forward to seeing a review on these, specially with the fact there out in just over a month and Bauer are keeping things pretty quiet so far in terms of their own marketing.
