  1. During warmups at a Thrasher game I went to one of the goalies on the visiting team lost an edge in the corner and went into the boards.

I don't know why I'm telling this .. I guess because when it happened I thought to myself " hey it happens to the best too" 😄

  2. Coach shoulda stuck up for you when someone said they were mad you leave. 90min no breaks = no fun imo. Might be okay for the first 40 min. I know they pay and want to get their money's worth but there's got to be some balance. If it was really organized there would be a few time outs for water and equipment adjustments etc.

Is there someone working the score board?

  3. i don't know the city or suburbs well enough to recommend a decent place to live but drove up and played at one of the Ford Center's and it was a really nice facility.

Everything is blue and sport gold 😄

  4. yeah you all are right, I didn't know the story behind Brossiot, I don't really start watching until the conference finals and rare I sit down and watch a regular season game. thanks

You mean other three? They had 4 goalies on the ice for the celebration and cup raising.

    Hill

    Quick

    Brossoit

    Thompson

I did have a good chuckle seeing Quick hoist the cup before Hill.

no I meant other 2. looked dumb having them all out there.

Congrats to the VGK !!!! Most goals for in a Cup clinching game ever? Not sure, but that was a lot.

With a hat trick mixed in too. Went to bed at the 5-1 mark

  7. That stick Hill uses is pretty slick when the lights reflect off of it just right and that save he made with it in the last game was pretty bad ass. Risky move for your shoulder but do whatever it takes.

I was asking if maybe the neck guard was rubbing on it.

What neck guard do you use?

Sorry for the delay I couldn't find the pic of it but this is the one I use now. Getting more use to it. At first it felt too restrictive.

And dreadlocked1, hi I can't remember now what hockey shop I found this one at but it was brand new and got it because of all the.good reviews and it was my size [the c/a]

  9. Thanks guys for the replies. I think I will try to patch it. I guess it is just a bad wear spot. Also was thinking the chin of mask could be causing it.  i always wear a neck gaurd/bib. Have a pretty good one that I replaced the old one with. It's a little bulky but I feel safer in it.

    Thanks

  10. i like this c/a but why is this happening?

I swear i have bad luck with c/a's the first time out with my brand new Vector one of the quick releases broke and if I remember correctly the neck on that one started fraying too.

  11. Was hoping Canes were going to bring more to this series but they're looking flat and don't really care to see Vegas and those ugly Gulden's Mustard unis in the SCF but it looks like they will be.

@seagoal, who has preached on this point many times, is quite correct IMHO. To put it more bluntly, unless the boot strap is between snug and cranked, it is not physically doing anything. Consider the original intended purpose as Seagoal stated. To further emphasize that point, consider that there used to be two boot straps on some pads (see example pic). But that’s not how pads are worn now, generally speaking.

That said, it can psychologically reassure a goalie who is afraid to make the leap.

Is there a c/a under that jersey?

Lots of rumors swirling about this down here. The Gladiators (ECHL) got new ownership for the 22/23 season and a lot of people are hoping they can pull a few strings.

Excuse my ignorance ... I don't study gear as much as I use to, but what kind of steel do you use? Awesome pics!
