Thanks Dumpy. I didn't know about the nets that's cool.
I was so upset when Liut was traded. Some of that time blended together. I am an old coot and I forget a few things. The magnetic nets were a 1-2 season experiment. Guys I knew who played on that ice said it took more force than a Marshpeg to dislodge the magnetic pegs.

Dude I may be dead wrong sorry buddy. I was a Liut fanboy and I may just remember him wearing the Lefebvre combo in Hartford and Washington. I was also at the game where MacInnis injured Liut and that’s when the Jofa came out in the next period. Nets were held in by magnets back then too. But I may be a bit too old to get all the details in order.

That Lefebvre combo was in use BRIEFLY in St. Louis. I was actually at a home game where he wore that.

Not sure how long you've had your G3's for, but have you tried removing the calf wrap from the calf wedge loop? This was suggested to me pretty early on when I had my GT1's and it make a HUGE difference in how well the leg pad moved with me. They've addressed this since the G4 and the adjustable calf wrap, but it's something I highly recommend for GT1 and earlier users
My buddy completely removed that big neoprene flap and replaced it with bungees. He has it going under the velcro strip. But if it interferes, I will get the bungies out from underneath that strap. Can’t wait till there done.

Can you send me a pic of the whole pad? Would like to post
Sure buddy! Just gotta get the whole pic as were still waiting on the professor straps from Kenesky and some other finishing touches. I got to test these with the rigged up straps and they feel good on fake ice. I think these will be better than my brians by a country mile.

Got my Exceed pads yesterday. Sorry, no pix yet cause I am busy with stuff. My buddy says they are from an interesting time when senior gear was built side by side with the pro gear these have interesting features that turned into pro features like nylon straps and plastic clasps a lot of cordura. There definitely stand up pads as the straps are outside the knee and calf flaps. The knee rolls are pleather and nylon. There light for there size for sure but they might stick to the ice if I dont land flat on the face. My buddy assures me that despite these being mint there not worth a whole bunch and I can mod them up to make them have some modern features like hard knee flaps he don’t think it’s even worth it to put leather straps on except to replace the missing boot strap and toe straps. These are what they are barley used senior pads. I am putting toe caps on. The Vaughn logos are all over the place fontwise on these including the side logo not matching anything ive seen before. So- let me unbusy myself get home and post pix.

Ha. Ok. I'm willing to bet juveniles in detention centers are not good standard bearers for just about anything, especially sanitation and safety.
I'm covered in tattoos. I have more ink than free space. Zero infections or reactions , other than a few little pimples on red ink......which happens to be an octopus, appropriately for this thread
Just so you know no judgment here tattoos aint for me but if there good for you and your happy, Im happy too.

Do you know anything about tattoos or have any experience with them? Swelling and redness is completely normal. A tattoo is tens of thousands or needle pricks in a small area . Infections are very rare.
One juvenile detention center I had to go to the kids were passing Hepatitis to each other from the ink and needles they was using. That was fun

I never had any and do know that if fresh needles and ink are used, the biggest risk is allergy to the ink.

Haha, yeah, that tattoo is famous already here and by extension so is that person who lives in that skin.
It was the first one online...in a matter of hours and there's a petition to get this person comped season tickets.
Seattle is a very heavily tattooed city...as you might imagine.
That looks swollen and has potential of infection. I used to teach universal HIV/STD precautions in the 90s.

Hey
I've been playing ball hockey forever
My trick when I didn't have sliders I aimed the ball to the centre of my chest. I'd follow it that to take up as much space as possible. The only real hard thing is rebounds and cross passes. That's where I'd go all 80s and just do desperation dives often towards the player with the ball to limit his shot ..
Wheres your 80s goalie pic?

For both of these reasons my wife said “why did you do that your other white stuff looks dirty” I may regret it but it was so different that I had to for the pants. The C/As I have usually get the white crystalline treatment so maybe this one will hide it better. Sounds like my first possible game is on Monday we’ll see how “dirty” they look after that.
I hope so, my friend.
they do look pretty fresh and clean

My buddy is waiting on the Professor strap. He’s breaking these in and aging the finish. They won’t look like a brand new pair of white pads when he’s done. He hopes to have them to me at the end of the week. *just a reminder for me
