    What is your height ?

Around 5'10 5'11. I use a medium for ice hockey but a lot of chestys don't fit me well in the arms. I have slightly longer arms that normal it seems. But Large usually seems to be too large.

But the worst fitting one i ever had was a Bauer reactor 9000 pro size medium. Was so tight in the arms and couldn't stretch them. Made the straps all loose and ended up falling on my elbow, cut it, got infected, was a disaster. So some medium doesn't fit me well.

Best fitting one is what i have now. A medium VE8 pro carbon.

I also use my ball hockey super loose though and use a dangler for neck protection when it droops

I also like to ramble on

The ball hockey C/A is not bulky, less than the ice C/A but design to take a lot of space, especially in the shoulder area.

Thanks. Thinking about getting one. Trying to figure out sizes. I might order two and send one back that doesn't fit.

  3. I am also new and trying things. Used my VE8 pro carbon pads twice now. Once with and once without. I liked the feeling of not having the boot strap but i did find the pad would ride up a bit and i didn't land my knee perfectly on the knee land part sometimes. I might put it back on and see if I notice it much.

Overall I think trying whatever you think and seeing yourself is the best option

I've been using a Passau chest protector for about a year now? Very mobile, but much more protective than my old Vaughn was. Only took a couple skates to break in.

Was looking at the ball hockey one though. Is that what you mean? Their one on the web site looks more bulky than l my old Heaton Helite one lol
