  1. Played a game at the end of February where I stretched out for a save and noticed something felt off, it wasn't bad in the moment but I woke up the next morning and could barely walk. Ended up getting a MRI and a surgical consult and was told that I have a labral tear in my left hip. Doc was pretty confident I didn't need surgery right now and recommended 6 months of PT and then we'd reevaluate. I'm about a month in to my PT journey and things have been going fine. I've been 95% pain free up until last week when my hip flared up again, and maybe this is a bit of the pain talking, but I'm having a hard time believing PT is going to actually help me get back to playing in net. I've been cleared to skate out so that's been nice to have but I definitely miss being in net. Curious to know if anyone here has dealt with any hip labral issues and what, if anything, helped you return to the net, PT, surgery, etc.
  2. Nice! I honestly wasn't expecting mine for another couple of weeks but got the email Tuesday that it shipped. Closure out of the box was better than expected. Feels nice and snappy but not too loose, I imagine I'd feel a little looser without the reinforced T. Light years better than my HL2 glove but that was off the shelf retail so kinda to be expected.
  3. This just came today. Vapor90, boring colors but I made it to match my retail set, Game ready, single T reinforced, skate lace pocket, ultrasonic nash palm, and of course it came right after a string of excellent games and finally getting used to the HL2 glove
  4. Turns out I don't like my 9x3 glove now either so I'm thinking that the last year or so in a 580 ruined me. Just placed an order for this very boring vapor90.
  5. I appreciate the clarification! Oof, just when I was starting to like a 60 degree break again apparently its Vapor90 or finally go back to my True glove and just rock it al la Filip Gustavsson style up until this year
  6. So I'm debating about ordering a new Hyperlite2 glove and I had a question regarding the "Palm Material" option. I absolutely despise the grippy fingers material and neoprene pinky/thumb loops in my current HL2 glove, is that part of the "hyperlite catch grip" option? If I ordered a HL2 glove or Vapor90 with either the "ultrasonic nash" or "mach grip print" would I get things back like traditional leather loops and no more "grippy" finger stall material?
  7. It's such a shame because I really love the pads and blocker. I need to get my hands on a Vapor90 to see if it would be worth ordering otherwise I guess I can just go back to my 9x3 glove.
  8. For those of you with the hyperlite2 glove… how do I learn how to like this thing ? Coming from CCM/True gloves, this thing just seems so flimsy. The neoprene pinky and thumb rings are super annoying and it constantly feels like my hand is slipping out of the glove. I’ve never needed to tighten a wrist strap on a glove but if I don't practically tighten it all the way down it feels like it’s going to fall off. This is my first time in a Bauer glove and I absolutely love the rest of the set but this glove is just not cutting it for me.
  9. Bit of an impulse buy but I've been wanting to get a set of Bauers for a long time now and a work bonus showed up that I wasn't quite expecting. Getting these on the ice tomorrow and I'm super stoked. I immediately like the blocker feel more than my 9X3 blocker. I've only ever been in CCM/Lefevre gloves so this Bauer one will probably take some getting used to, there's so many velcro points so I probably just need to adjust it a little to feel more comfortable. Pads feel like the perfect blend of rigidity/flex and I'm really looking forward to seeing the rebounds off these things as my last "hard" pad were the Axis1.9s and I felt like my EF5s had bigger rebounds.
  10. Oh it’s for real. I feel like the video doesn’t even do it justice, it’s an awful sound. What weird is that my old set of 7x3s don’t do this and this pair didn’t start doing it until just recently. I’ve got a warranty question out to my retailer about this but wow is this super bizarre.
  11. For those curious on the noises they're making:
  12. This was a less than pleasant surprise during warmups. Not sure when or how this happened but got it replaced via warranty and swapped it for a 9x3 blocker. Only made it 10 skates with the 7x3 blocker On a different note, do any of yalls thigh rises creak or have a crunching sound? I noticed this last night that my 7x3 pads were making some odd noises when I rested my hands on them but figured it might just be the jenpro rubbing together. I just took a look at them again this morning and they're making creaky/crunchy noises with just minimal pressure on the thigh rise... a bit worried the composite broke or something. I've got a different set of 7x3s that I'm selling and they don't make any noises like that.
  13. Agreed, this graphic does nothing for me. I’ll wait for the customizer to come out before I give it a hard pass but I’ve yet to see a set of these that looked good.
  14. Yeah, looks like Px3 skinned 12.2s. I've noticed quite a few guys going back to 12.2s, wonder what that's about.
