  1. Yeah, it’s definitely an issue with the elastic and how its attached. The Mach has adjustable elastic on all three fingers. Looking at pictures of other 2-piece blockers, mine is built as designed. Even compared to my CCM P2 blocker, that has elastic on the outside of the middle and pinky fingers connect to the finger protection which provides much better coverage. I want to give this blocker a chance, but without making mods to the finger protection I’m not sure its worth the injury risk given that I’ve already hurt my pinky and thumb just one game into using it.
  2. Here are photos of what I’m talking about. Here is the Mach pinky protection while holding a stick: And here is the 2-piece:
  3. Quick one game review - I love this glove. It's not an exact 580 clone, but it's pretty close feel wise. It's breaking in nicely, still has a bit to go, but it'll get there. I caught really well with it and with the Bauer internal materials it's really comfortable to wear. It's pretty much exactly what I wanted. I did get a couple stingers in the palm during warm ups (always during warm ups) but I've gotten them with my pro palm True, and by the end of warm ups my hand felt fine. The 2-piece blocker on the other hand, not a big fan one game in compared to the Mach blocker. I'm going to give it a few more games, it's mostly small things that I may adjust to. However, I did find finger protection on the pinky to be lacking. They have the same padding there, but when I close my hand with the 2-piece, it doesn't actually fully cover my pinky. During a play last night I got a stick there and it really hurt, still hurts today. I also jammed my thumb when trying to go paddle down.
  4. Here you go: Then compared to the stock Mach (on the left, 2-piece on the right) 2-piece feels tight, but then the Mach felt tight when I first got it, so I’m guessing it’ll be more comfortable after a few games. Though, after my initial impressions, I think I like the Mach more, but we’ll see if that changes after a few games.
  5. Haha, it’s been almost 2 months, I totally forgot.
  6. No extra padding, game ready break. Though, you made me remember that I did get a reinforced T, which could explain it.
  7. My Vapor 90 and 2-piece Vapor blocker came in today. A few first impressions: Closure feels pretty close to my True 12.2 580. My glove closes decently, but my stock Mach closed better out of the box. Still worlds ahead of all CCM gloves I've owned out of the box though. The pocket doesn't open super wide. I know 580s aren't known for having being widest presenting gloves, but it seems a little smaller than the True 580. The pockets are about the same depth. The internal strapping felt really off when I first tried it. I compared it to the True and they're pretty much identical, so I adjusted the Bauer so the straps had the same tightness as my True and it felt 100x better. Speaking of internals, a big reason I wanted this is because I wanted Bauer internal materials with a break I love. This glove does not disappoint in that department. I have a game on Monday, so I'm going to work the glove a little to see if I can get it into game shape in time. I felt my Mach was good enough to use in a game right out of the box, I don't feel that way about this glove. It's not far off, but if I had a game tonight I would not be using it.
  8. That glove closure looks like it's exactly what I was hoping for. I'm hoping I'll be getting mine soonish. Will be 8 weeks since ordering on Friday.
  9. Currently, technically Bronze 2, but our league doesn't have a gold division any more so everyone kept dropping down which forced us to drop down. We were mid/lower silver before depending on winter or summer. Though even in this division, every team has at least a few guys who can rocket pucks.
  10. I've been rocking senior level pads with pro gloves. My previous blocker was a the first time I got a senior blocker. It was fine for the most part, but I did occasionally feel shots through it. Not enough to leave a bruise, but enough that I went back to using a pro blocker. But for the most part, you should probably be fine with a senior blocker.
  11. After thinking about it for a bit, I think I'm going to introduce more slack back into my TNG spec ProLaces instead of going full laces. I hoping this might give me a nice combo of slack combined with some of the benefits of a bungie but without the hard end point of a lace and pullback from a bungie when it's at maximum stretch. I origin had and then took out the slack because I had issues rotating back to center and I never tried adding slack or the CSR bootstrap back in after I changed up and solved my strapping issues. Figured I may as well experiment now that a new season is starting.
  12. Wonder why they have custom colors on the 3X and X5 but not the M5.
  13. I had been thinking about going back to laces recently, mainly just out of curiosity, but also to see if it's different/better for hip/knee/ankle strain overall. I'll most likely try it out at the beginning of the summer season with the CRS strap that I gave up on. I had similar issues that @CPage where I felt there were rotation issues. Though, I don't think it was entirely the fault of the CRS strap, I had issues getting Bauer's tune fit strapping loose enough for my liking, but I've largely solved that issue but swapping in their new tune fit+ strap in.
  14. I've been having more knee pain, so it looks like I may have to go back to wearing the knee braces even though I really don't like wearing them. I guess I could go to a doctor, but I feel like they're just going to tell me to play less or be less fat... Though, speaking of being less fat, we did recently invest in some new exercise equipment, including a Peloton Tread which costs more than a new set of gear, which I will use a justification next time my wife questions a gear purchase.
  15. I put in my order order in the other day. - Vapor 90, game ready palm, double tee reinforced, Mach grip - 2 piece vapor blocker, thumb pillow I skinned them to match the stock Mach since thats what I’m currently rocking and I like to match. Also gives me the option to mix and match my gloves in case I end up preferring either of the stock Mach gloves.
