Yes they are taking a slight curve now. I store them upside down
Fantastic to know that is also the same way I have always stored my pads.

I agree Rance was awesome to work with at the crease.
On a side note Chenner you have had these for a bit now does the thigh rise start to get a bit of an S shape tonite over time or has it held up?

I will check, and reply soon.
Took the pads out last night for the first time and man are they stiff, going to be an adjustment period for sure coming from my reactors. They slide amazing and seal the ice way better then my reactors just the stiffness that will need to get adjusted too.

Getting the pads on the ice this weekend but have used the blocker and catch glove a few times now already. Blocker is great feels well balanced just like I remember but man I can't believe how nice the glove has broken in only after a few skates, thing feels and closes wonderfully, now just to adjust to the break angle lol

Thank you.
Only one on the list that I question is GNetik? But I will be the first one to admit that Brian's is the hardest to classify. They call them like 35 and 40 deg breaks.
Darling spec is supposed to be a 5500 and based off Sub Zero (now Optik) and not GNetik. My request for a 580 style Glove was also built off an Optik 2 and definitely closed differently and more like a 580.
So funny enough I just a True PX3 600 as I felt it was the closest thing I could find to my original Gnetik glove that I have been using since 2013 but once I got out on the ice with it my opinion changed on that right away as the way the pocket sits is completely different. I'm going to have to give it a few more skates to get adjusted but the hand positioning in my stance feel sway different. That being said I was still able to catch with it nicely and it swallowed pucks up.

Completely forgot about kenesky! How long did it take to get yours and were there any upcharges?
They didn't charge me anything outside of the base price but i have not recieved it yet order was placed start of Feb expecting it for start of next season

I was on the search for one as well this year and i ended up going with a kenesky with beefed up arms was the only thing that felt nice to me. I initially thought about the beefed up Mach that the goalie crease sells but I just couldn't get a good feel for the chest

I had this exact set but with a double break lol. That was my one and only attempt to use a 590 glove!!! Man I hated that thing but loved the pads and blocker

Received them from Purolator today and man the build quality is great. The closure on the glove out of box is surprisingly awesome but holy crap the thigh rise stiffness WOW
Cant wait to get these guys on the ice

Your specs are very similar to the order I just put in except I did the leather strap behind the knee and went with the 600 break glove.
I prefer the images that are all on the left of the screen as my personal preference

You can order the Bauer Pro series at retail now - it's just a regular custom order, and you can have the reinforced shoulders/biceps/forearms for no extra charge. You can also mix and match - I use one with a Hyperlite body and Pro Series arms with all the beef ups, and it has been a tank for me.
Yes i completely forgot about this option too I'm going to have to look into this as this might be my closest match to what I currently have.

OOO I cant wait for mine to come in!!! lol

Now a Bauer guy.
Ultrasonic leg pads and Mach gloves.
Mach pads were alright, but the single break was very clunky and I have my doubts of the longevity of the jenpro attachment points for the tune fit system.
With that being the only way to home the pad to your legs, it feels like playing with fire.
Plus my 3S slid better.
Very nice! I was actually going to ask and see how you were looking the Bauer's and this clearly answers that question. Before I ordered my Catalyst Px3's I was dead set on the March's but the True pads felt better but man I loved the Bauer gloves. We will see once my set comes in but I haven't had the best luck with Lefevre gloves so I might be going to a set of Machs

How is thing holding up for you? I purchased a 2x pro before COVID started and i never got around to using it until this year. I played 2 games in it and could not get comfortable. I also had a few stingers in the arms. I went back to my old Bauer Ultra Pro (beefed up goalie crease version) that has been amazing for me but is well past its prime. Im back on the market again and this unit was one of the first things that came to my mind.

New skates, time to panic?
in Skates + Holders + Steel
Posted
Funny enough I almost bought a pair of these skates today at my Local hockey shop, they had them on for $499 which I thought was a good price but when I put them on they did not feel great at all, very tight compared to my Bauer Reactor 6000's. I did try on a pair of 3s Pro's as well and they felt better/ more natural. Its been a while since I was in a CCM/Reebok skate so not sure if they have changed to the shape of there boots but I always thought they ran wider then Bauer's but things must have changed over the years as I had to try on a EE for CCM and a D was good in the Bauers.
I am in the same dilemma as you right now as my steel on my skates and the cowling are starting to go and I am debating whether I should just replace my cowling or just bite the bullet and buy a new pair and make the adjustment.
