To my knowledge, the one piece is the heel and the outsole being 1 piece. it's not the entire boot and outsole being 1 piece 

It’s a monocoque boot.

If people haven’t noticed, I’m all for challenging ideas. For me, VH falls a bit into the category of Vaughn pads or Brown C&As to me. I fully respect you can’t wrong go with them and don’t blame anyone for buying them. However, I question if their tech is pushing the industry forward. For me, I’m always fascinated what is new and what’s next 

Daust, Micron, Graf and now True... it seems like there is always a niche for a “small big” skate company to compete with Bauer and CCM 

You put them in a category with Vaughn and Brown? Both of those companies stick to tried and true and aren’t anywhere near as innovative as VH. 

Yeah it’s unfortunate. I liked the way he’d try new things and just make small mods that were useful. The HAL straps and Kewl bands were fantastic. I still use the Ryno straps. But it seems he collapsed under his own weight.

If your open to sharing what technology, design, etc VH pioneered to the boot ifself, I open to continuing this discussion? 

I am NOT anti VH or ripping on them. I feel their rapid success was achieved by fit and not the R&D of materials. Bauer and CCM are spending more on R&D

CCM is supposedly pioneering new materials that allow the boot to move in ways it never has before. 

VH contributions:

• Easy availability of custom 
• Enhanced fit 
• 1 Piece skate design (Great tech, but that is not new boot materials)
• 1 piece out sole + boot w/2 piece skate - This is a first and their biggest tech contribution 

I just don’t care enough to bother.

The little maple leafs is a nice touch. The gold Bauer logos will look good with the matching medals as well. 

Everyone’s pads pretty much weigh the same these days. Weight is at the bottom of my priority list because of it.

Yea thats the nice thing with the Superfeet, they aren't meant for arch support. They're meant for heel stabilization.

I'm with you guys on the 37.5 sweat bands. I had tried sham (not a fan) and was using Monster for about a year but since everything Bauer makes with 37.5 in it is awesome, I figured I'd try them. Could not be happier.

See that would have been perfect for the stripes on mine. I ended up using some way overpriced Martha Stewart craft masking tape. Would have preferred pinstriping tape or whatever.

Once I buy some I can  Probably 2018 sometime.
