I reached out to the "hockey manager" at the rink I play at for goalie clinics and he told me that the goalie coach of the Erie Otters (OHL), comes to the rink for goalie clinics and would put me in the loop.
Last week, my team had a game and guess who is on the ice before our game? A bunch of goalies doing goalie drills. I was pretty bummed and e-mailed the "hockey manager" about it and he still never responded.
I would love to go to one though.
How old are you though? Was this adults getting coached or was this an elite session paid for by an organization?

I obviously don’t know your measurements but I went from 34–2 996’s and fit on the 33-1.5 G4’s dead on. I do wish however I was in a 33-2 rather than the 1.5, I feel like I’m losing a little bit of coverage but gained a tonne of mobility.

Thanks @Aquilzz. They do look interesting. I have a burning desire to know what the notch is all about besides a design decision, maybe just a way to reinforce the binding.

@coopaloop1234 Ultra Sonic pads, to me, has the most innovative new feature of the last 5-6 years. Gloves have a subtle tweak that fix everything that I don’t like about Bauer gloves
Axis may not have any “first to market” features like Ultra Sonic, but it’s the first completely new line CCM has launched over the last 6 or 7 years? That also is a big deal.
if you follow goalie equipment, they’re both a very big story in different ways
if I don’t like something about the gear on the ice, I share it here or on YouTube
What’s so different and innovative about Ultra Sonic line? Has anyone shared specifics yet? I haven't been on the forums in a while.

I stand corrected on my assumption that his daughters' assault was fabricated for sympathy. I wish her all the best in healing. Horrific.
Everything else I've ever said about this company though seems to be on point. What a shit show. The employees need a lawyer and need to contact the police. Also file a formal complaint with the IRS, tax fraud is no joke. That poor woman not being able to file for unemployment is really pissing me off.

That's odd. I've seen vinyl last full OHL seasons. I guess you should find out what they used as an adhesive and redo those areas. Your mask should be fine.

I wonder if they got a good deal with the Monster folks based on their financial situation and/or CCM gave Pro Laces a better deal than Bauer could. I don't think they're the same kind of deal, but might be that there's some sort of non compete built in
That would explain it. I had no idea Pro-laces were a CCM option. Thanks.

Update:
I've gotten a FULL REFUND, APOLIGY and, yes AND a STORE CREDIT for the Purchase Price. Guess that Bauer Money hit the Monster Account.
At least they're trying to make things right. Won't be ordering anything soon until they fix whatever the holdup is. I know they've gone through hell with their kid.I'm glad you got your money back and an apology but pretend that store credit doesn't exist. Just an awfully run company from top to bottom. I'm at almost 2 years for my HAL straps, I don't think they are coming. Obviously, they will have no record of that transaction anymore. I just don't understand how a company that has chosen to operate in a very niche, very tight community thought they could get away with all of thier crap.
I'm very interested in the new 2X line but i'll be getting normal strappings and installing Pro-laces because screw Monster.
I wonder if Bauer approached Pro-laces with this strapping idea? I find it odd that Bauer R&D which is based in Quebec didn't approach a local company making the exact same product. Maybe they did, who knows.

Are you close enough to go inquire?
No. I'm in Toronto. It was just pretty much the only goalie centric store around growing up so my Dad and I started going there for gear and I continued as an adult.

This bums me out so much. I loved going into that store and just shooting the shit with staff. I'm curious if this is a direct result of the big boys finally getting their poop together and offering a decent quality Sr. line at a good price point.

The problem I have with this situation that seems to come up with EVERY independent goalie gear/niche goalie parts manufacturer that finds itself struggling with shipments. In almost every case where one of these niche companies can't meet deadlines or delivery dates, some truly awful tragedy strikes them that gives them an excuse for not completing orders.
Since the days of the very first post that ever hit the GSBB these events were always the primary excuse for not delivering. Countless companies have come and gone, some still operating and oddly every one of them is cursed with an unimaginable tragedy that gets in the way of business.
I truly hope this is exactly that, an excuse to draw sympathy towards the situation allowing the company to continue to miss deadlines or catch-up because I don't wish that hell his family may be going through on anyone.
For a company that has obliterated trust with customers and suppliers alike, I have an incredibly hard time allowing myself to trust them to tell the truth about anything.
I do wish the family all the best in a very trying time.
I know this post will come across as crass and to some completely cold and dispassionate but as I'm sure other members that have been around on other old/new gear forums can attest to just how prevalent these types of situations are in this industry.

New G4 Sr. set. I've never been so pumped to play hockey in my life. Coming from Simmons 994 set and Pro series gloves which I hated. Now I just have to figure out how much slack I need to leave when tieing the knee pads into my pants. Never used knee pads before but doing some carpet fly's convinced me knee protection is absolutely necessary for this set, which I assume is why they come with them.

Dunno, pretty sure a kevlar cup lined with maltese plus a second layer of maltese is going to be better than what I have now.
Well, if you get one let us know how it is.

I find it completely assinine that they're continuing to launch new products without being able to meet current orders or reduce excessive wait times.
Curious what kind of testing was done on the jock
Every time I see them release a new product this is all I can think as well. They have a hard enough time shipping out shockcord and velcro.

Is it weird that I have absolutely no faith in them to protect peoples junk? Honestly, it looks cheap and that's not what I want to see when buying a protector for the boys.
Thanks for grabbing the pics gents.

Anyone feel like snagging a picture for the thread? I'd like to see it.

Well that does suck. Next time you see that coach speak to him directly, I’m sure he would more than willing to add you in.
