Good luck man.  Hope you snag one.  I too am a 590 lover and while this glove is so not for sale,  I thought I'd show you just because it fits your wishes for colors too.

Not taunting you...just sharing some love :)

I currently use a Hyperlite C/A with beefed up Ultrasonic arms and I am loving it. It is very light and mobile while still being protective; haven't had a stinger yet. This chest protector also comes with a loop at the bottom of the spine, which you can attach to the back of your pants. This will help prevent the back part from riding up and pushing the shoulders up. I also wear mine untucked and haven't had any issues when using this method. I circled it on the picture below.

Omg thank for the answer here ! Did you lost any arm mobility with the ultrasonic beefed arm ?

its exactly what I’m looking to order at this moment

With Lefevre building the goalie equipment, I have zero issues with it ever come apart. Lefevre builds a high quality product. With it being a new brand/line everyone seems to be jumping towards it, also with Lefevre behind it, it has also brought a alot of brand credibility to it. Hence why alot of Lefevre pro clients walked away from CCM and went to True. Legally in Quebec all manufacturing must be shut down in August for 2 weeks, was the same during the Reebok/CCM days. So that is out of True/Lefevre hands.

I’m from Quebec and we don’t have to close 2 weeks ! It’s only for builder like plumber etc. Lefèvre decide to close to put everyone in vacation at same time. Seriously if you are a 20+ week to make a goalie set don’t close the factory and split vacation with employees

Speaking of elusiveness… This was from mid-July at my in-laws, but Boreale makes some incredible NEIPAs. However, it seems I could never get this one - Brume du Nord (translates to “Northern Fog”). Kind hearted and loving man that he is, my father in law got some for me coming, and sent me home with two more. This one is a 5-star. So god damned good, I cried a little drinking it.

10min from my house ! all boreale product are good

Pretty slick - and quite the deal! Coming from Montreal (the West Island) I know there are a lot of rich kids whose parents buy them anything/everything they want - which translates to some super sweet resale deals!

That last bit about the Gnetik IVs is heartbreaking, because your set is bad ass! It’s what my set dreams about at night! LOL! But then if it doesn’t work for you, it doesn’t work.

Always enjoy seeing your gear, and hearing about Montreal!

Yes a kid from Westmount ! He leaving today the Eli Wilson camp

my friend work at Bauer facility she make pro skating now ! I will ask her to change the black jenpro on top and boot for red jenpro

That's bad and difficult to solve with adjustments too as the backplate should still keep the C/A from falling to RBK style in front of you.

I would try an elastic battle strap with only that much tension that it pulls the neck down enough. Then you have the elastic to give you the mobility you need in the waist area to rotate around. I assume you tried all the adjustments already which we know are many and the combinations on them count to a certain difficulty.

I try tight , loose with fighter strap without fighter strap I always have something bother me. I know myself I talk about the Bauer elite but I’m pretty sure I will go out of the store with a hyperlite one lolll my best c/a was 2x but I didn’t like the curv at the sternum ! Too many hot rebound

That's gonna be a hard call as the R/GT2 is so comfy, mobile and still huge. I've tried the Bauer on too and it is not bad at all. But if I had the GT2 pro I wouldn't even bother to try lower level Bauer. Unless there was some problem using the GT2.

The Eflex 5.9 felt very thin on the arms. Othervise very useable just as the Eflex 2 series was. Just amazing how they cannot make the arms any better. Or want to?

I hate the backplate so much on my rgt2 pro I always have something touch me in my neck ! I know it’s weird haha

Has anyone had a chance to look up in person the Bauer Elite model? Is it a 6000/9000 re-issue?

Highly considering one of these chests lately since my shield 2 is starting to break down. Any first hand experiences on how good it is at absorbing pucks? Had some bad past experiences with warrior chests shooting the rebounds about 3-4ft in front of me even if I sat back to absorb it.

What the model of warrior you have problem with ? I have rgt2 pro and I don’t have any problem at all !!

If I'm not mistaken, HPG14 is the new NHL spec. Can you post pics of them side by side? I was certain that the new CCM pant is not NHL-spec.

You are right it’s not nhl spec but the feeling and how interior is made it’s feel the same

guess what ! I will never play in nhl 😂😂 I’m happy with those 1inch extra

I will at my next pratice with my friend he has hpg14 I used them for one pratice and when I bought the new ccmpro the fit was exactly the same

  13. FYI I just bought new ccm pro pant ( eflex5 ) it’s feel exactly like hpg14a pant , the only additional thing I see on them is the internal belt and a will remove It

Good deal. By all means share whatever the reply from the Bauer Rep is. It's my understanding that they don't change thigh rise... just is what it is (likely improves efficiency in production.)

Nothing new for this moment, medium +1.5 would be perfect for me I probably have to go with large

  15. 1 hour ago, BadAngle41 said:

Do you mean hard to close as in you have a narrow butterfly and the 2X Pro was too firm and straight at the top? If so... check out Hyperlite. Much more of an S shape than 2X Pro. (Probably something you can blur lines with in a ProCustom set if you want other facets of US construction.)

The medium Bauer pads don’t look like a 34+1 for me , I took pads side by side at the store with hyperlite medium Bauer is 33+1 brians but large Bauer is bigger than a 34+1  from Brian’s. Bauer write large 35+ Now on thé pads they don’t said if they are +1 or +2 ... maybe we can change something on tight rise now , my friend is a director in a big store in Montréal, he send a email to Bauer rep we waiting the answer

I can confirm the same as @ZeroGravitas... 5'10"... 19.5" FTK and I wore 2X Pro in size Small. They were damn near perfect fit

For me at 20.5 I drop in the high end of the knee block with medium and the large is the perfect fit but I’m scared of the high tight rise , with my old medium 2xpro the butterfly was hard to close but my mobility was soooo great

I was referred to this too, which with my FTK of 19.5 I'm spot on for Medium - 34.

    sizing-chart-bauer-od1n-sr-eng.jpg

this chart is still good ? im at 20.5 and my old 2xpro set was medium ... the butterfly was hard to close but i was able to close it and my mobility was super good , i thing try a large size for hyperlite

Looking at the pics above some more, I can already see some slight issues and possible improvements I'd suggest to the Bauer designers...if I knew who they were and could get in touch with.

My friend test for them and they don’t do anything what tester suggest to them 😂😂😂
