My set arrived today. Thank you @Chenner29, @Aquilzz, and @turbototts for the advice back in March. This set took exactly 8 weeks from order to my house.
- 34 + 1, soft break, ultra soft boot, 2 leather straps, recessed knee with inner knee wrap.
- 600 break, single T, pro palm- Blocker has curved finger guard
Yes I know my glove color zones don’t match blocker and pads, I wanted it that way
Great colours !

Nice ! Yeah, those are legit. I've always wanted a pair when I found out about those years ago, but the price tag is too rich for my blood as far as knee pads go.
If I remember correctly, the custom ones used by Hiller and Giguere were about 1000 USD back then .

Should by interesting to try and see what is difference with maltese in comparsion with KOHO/CCM. I use them and it doesn´t look like it needs anything to be changed in this area. But I have no previous experience with maltese..

Any chance you’d want to sell this unit? I’d be very interested if so
Hi, for me it is the best chest protector I´ve ever had. I certainly don´t want to sell it now.

I´m in similar type of chest protector for the first time (long time in Bauer Supremes, since One95 days) and this design is very traditional but nothing that realy needs to be changed or fixed. Great as it comes.

I love the idea of this thread, but never could really think of anything I regretted with my gear. I just found some old pictures of me, and yes, when I say old I mean maybe 8 or so years ago only. Man, how great with this setup have looked if I just put sport gold padskins over the silver here! Ugh! I guess either way, the Hiller tribute was in full swing!
KOHO 4ever !

I used to tap posts and other ordinadry "ritual stuff", but get rid of everything some years ago for good . Now I have only my way to warm up and stretch on ice, but it is not a ritual, as I can go different warm up without problem.

Too square and too wide from my understanding
Ok, thanks. It doesn't seem like Mach have wide or big arms when I tried it, but I definitely don´t need to undergo NHL limitations.

Yours? A truly unique piece - congratulations.

10 hours ago, coopaloop1234 said:Yes, it is exactly the same - Hillers spare one from his last season. I don´t know if he tried it once or twice, but it came in new condition (no damage, no puckmarks).

Pretty sure he uses just all around pro series. Mach arms are not legal for nhl use as far as I know
What is the "problem" with Mach arms for NHL use, elbows?

@MTH You definitely should write another review (no matter what piece of equipment), long time since Passmore blocker :D.

It looks so much like my 2S Pro. Any differences?
Very similar in terms of shape and construction, but return to simple design. Shoulder cups looked different, like step back to shape of One95. I can't rate the protection, never played in 2S Pro on ice. I have tried Bauer One95/NXG/Ultrasonic.

Technically it’s an heavily beefed up old supreme chest. I believe it’s based on the totalone nxg
You are right, construction and shape is like Totalone NXG/One95. I wanted to buy retail one, but retail version in shops (here in Europe it is the black one) is sadly did not look as good as NXG, mainly the shoulders. Shoulder caps were foam only (in NXG there is plastic cap and foam one). Bauer One95 had shoulder caps made of foam too, but not soo soft and easily "bendable". But I haven´t tried it on ice, maybe it is ok.

I sent Bunny the infamous Passmore blocker. He still had it when he passed. Wrong to ask for it back?
No, I don´t think it is wrong. Passmore blocker is legendary. If I remember one thing form GSBB, it is the reveiw of Passmore bloker. Makes me smile whenerver anyone mentions it, it was the best post ever (btw. "..does he play with us?" Gorgeous forever!).

Is that a long cut on the blocker sidewall?
It is just graphic "triangle" in same color.

Surprised on the 2 piece
It is not even broken in, still not easy to close (Pro palm). Gloves have puck marks, but otherwise are like new (back side, inside..)
I think that 2 piece is from his Vaughn days, Gibson is known for not changing his gear much. Looks to me same year after year, just small graphic changes. I like 2 piece gloves, so it is fine.

Sweet! Did you get these on sidelineSwap?
Thanks. Not from sidelineswap, but I saw Gibson L 12.2 there, which looks identical, just with slightly different graphic.

Would you take some photo of the back of the gloves and inside of catcher ?
How would you compare gloves to the other brands, what is similar brand/model?
And how you see craftmanship - only piece of McKenney equipment I saw in person was pants and they were top in quality. Thanks.
