I will say you will not be disappointed with that v1 pro+ I have been using it for a few months now I can't go back to it. I will have a full review when they launch it!
So far have loved it. It feels very light, and it's extremely responsive when playing the puck. Also Koskinen's curve isn't too bad. Feels good for saves and passing

A blue main with red. They're good quality so I might have to get into "fights" just to show it off.

Wife: "Hey, so I was... wait - what are you looking at on the computer? That better not be more goalie gear!!!"
Me: "uh.... no - it's porn. yeah - porn - I swear!
@Jacob Musselman - I love this set! But my heart achenes for you thinking that you're waiting on a meniscus to heal. UGH! Does having this sweet gear around make it easier or harder to wait for the meniscus to heal?
Wishing you speedy recovery, so that this set can see some love (read: vulcanized rubber)!
It makes it much harder. I've had two injuries that happened after I ordered new gear. Once in high school with a surgery on my back for a pilonidal sisst, took a year to recover. Then last year my miniscus tore, tried playing 3 weeks later but it had tear again.
Then through a series of trying to let it heal for 9 months and trying to play again, having it re agrevate after two months, and now waiting for surgery, I have not had the chance to play a lot lately.

Nice. Thanks for sharing. Interesting mod on the knee guards in that the foam is more meant to keep them in place, and not to simply bolster protection. The only feedback anyone else had really shared that I can think of was that the use of Poron and Flexorb was a spot the size of a quarter. So if you landed anywhere else (or if they twisted) there wasn't much cushion. What intrigues me is how relatively compact they are compared to others out there.
Functional or aesthetic surprise on the pads? either way... anxious to see your post when they arrive.
Aesthetic, and I can agree that this mod is too keep it from twisting. I am contemplating getting some more foam to cover the knee landing area around the Poron.

Love the design work and color selection on the pads and the chesty!! I heard the whole "Why bother? No one ever sees it anyway." on the C/A... and if you have to explain... they won' understand anyway.
How do you like the knee guards? They interest me, but I haven't seen too much in the way of user feedback on them. When you feel like you've used them enough to give a review, would you mind throwing one up?
Basically they suck unless you use either A: a garter to hold them in the perfect spot or B: use helmet foam to put a layer on the surface that your knee leans against when going down(shown in this picture). Once you do either of those things it's a great pair of knee guards, just make sure they sit correctly otherwise the inside peice of the Curv composite will dig into your leg.
For the chesty I had a ton of people saying why bother, but I needed it customed anyway to get L body with XL arms, and colours cost no extra.
There's is also a suprise on the pads when they come in. I haven't told too many people about it.

I’ve got white optislide material. It has gotten marked up by pucks and is not as easy to clean. I find Goo Gone is best so far. Magic Eraser is not great on this material. I’ll have reach out to Brian’s for advice on this as Goo Gone might be bad to use. @Jacob Musselman
I'm good with puck marks. Its more so dirt that bothers me

That's one of the reasons I went with a black weave/mesh on the sides with my new Brian's Optiks. The white will just get so dirty from rusty posts and pucks and it's much harder to clean that material versus other areas of your pads. I still prefer a predominately white pad on the front and like @Snowman30 leverage the Magic Eraser to clean the pads up from time to time. If anyone has another other safe cleaning product to leverage please let me know. I have had to use Googone in the past on pads when stick tape has caused some sticky scuffs and that has worked well.
Was that primo or weave you got on the sliding surface? Just asking cause mine are gonna have white primo and hoping cleaning isn't terrible.

I'll be posting more info on the unit in my topic linked at the bottom... but wanted to get some pictures of the new C/A out where those who don't frequent the Passau aisle can see...
Delivered today... I snapped a few initial pics but more to come along with the obligatory weigh in. I've only had it on for about 3 minutes and some adjustments will be needed of course... but I can say that this is WAY more mobile than my Premier unit. Not to mention it looks SO GOOD. I still can't believe Passau forwent their initial push back on using their face type on the logo and kept it true to my final rendering. To say they nailed it is an understatement for sure!!

Very nice chesty. Although I prefer more colour sometimes lack of it really comes out nicely.

Got to try this out cause I'm waiting for my OPT1K to come in.
Very impressed with it. Love the ability to seal the puck against the ribs, mobility was great for a first use, and the adjustments are awesome. Only flaw I found was how hard rebounds would shoot off it. Took a Slapshot square in the chest and it looked like the puck came off a 2S pro blocker.

It feels like it. I can't say for sure but I did also get to use a 2Xpro today. Demoed the pads as well. I am impressed, but will probably stick to my Opt1ks still.
