I don't know if anyone is from Michigan, but my favorite brand is probably Oddside Ales.

Michigan represent ?️?? I've only tried a few from Oddside, but pretty legit from what I remember. Old Nation is my fave MI brewery right now.

  2. I'm a pretty big beer geek. I've been trying desperately to get my hands on some Filthy Flow IPA from Mikkeller, but no luck. Talk about some kick ass label art!

Unfortunately any bag likely will be pricey to ship.  I was impressed tho at how compact the back it when they ship it.  They also use their poly shipping bag as well.

You want a carry or wheel bag?

I know. I knew it wasn't gonna be cheap to send it across the border with duties, etc but $50 is a lot for what I figured would be a fairly compact package.

I'm using a Brian's wheeled bag right now, but it's ready for the garbage. It broke down so fast, but it's nice to only carry my sticks in to the rink. Carry bags seem like such a pain in comparison.

I probably need to stop being such a tightass and just buy the backpack lol.

  4. I have a wrap kit from Custom Cages (so not a full wrap, but probably 3/4 coverage) And it's held up great so far. With the benders I play with I average a shot to the head about every game, so far nothing more than a few scuffs on the decals, no rips, etc. One thing I have noticed though is bubbling. No matter how well you apply the wrap, it's gonna bubble eventually.

  5. @LordOfTheCrease I used a Zero G chesty for about a year (C adult league level). The body/torso protection was awesome, literally couldn't feel a shot (floaters are pretty big as well). Arms were pretty lacking though, that's why I sold it. From "Razor LE" and the graphic I'm guessing it's an Emery model?

The good news is that with the G4 coming out, this means that G3 will be on clearance for tightwads like me!!!!!

Also contemplating my 3rd G3 set.

Can't wait to see what Moto67e dude does with all of his sets with G4's on the horizon :)

    Why not both? ;)

If you loved the GT's, get 'em. The G4's i'm  holding reservations for until I know more about them

Yeah that's true...I won't be doing anything until Feb/March anyways, so I guess we'll see what happens...

I always say never go against the grain. If you're playing well in the G2, stay in that family of gear, I say.

I know, that's also why I'm tempted to see what the G4 is like. R/GT was a bit different than what I'm used to, but initial impressions were pretty good (only wore them for about 15 mins).

  8. G4 teasers have me in a conundrum. I tried R/GT's and loved them, but I'm currently in G2's and I love having shiny new things that no one else has. Soooo....pull the trigger on R/GT's, or wait for G4? (and no, don't post the "why not both" meme, either. Not in the budget, fam)

  9. So I'm gonna pull the trigger on a Protechsport (the first part of the Sweden setup most likely) :) I've been emailing Michel back and forth the last few days, planning on doing measurements instead of the mummy head wrap. I like the Brodeur shape the best, and he also has one 961 shell shape. He's gonna try to fit me into one of those two options. Base fiberglass mask (no Kevlar) in white with cateye and round vents. $275 USD to my door (actually to my sister's door in Ontario, saves me $40 on shipping lol), I still can't believe how affordable that is for what you get.
