True fixed it with the Hzrdus 615 blocker by adding a 2nd elastic piece to the other side of the index finger. Vaughn fixed it by making the palm material cover 3 sides of the finger.

Not sure why it took companies this long to figure out how to fix the problem lol.

I may have to do a little DIY work and add another elastic. But yeah, this isn't rocket science!

Thanks! And speaking of fingers, I think the SLR4 index finger needs a little work. When I bend my index finger, the finger material seems to be bend in an awkward way. Maybe a side effect of the SLR4 fitting on the larger side?

But on the Velocity 10, it seems to be just fine.

I ordered my SLR4 with a V10 palm for that reason. The V10 has the palm material on 3 sides, whereas on the SLR it’s standard only on the palm, so when you grip the elastic pulls and rotates the index finger material.

This happens on my True 20.2 blocker as well! It's pretty annoying, and I've even contemplated snipping the elastic that attaches to the finger protection to free it up and stop the twisting. In game I don't really notice it though so I'm trying to ignore it. Thanks for triggering me 😆

He did hand it down to "Ethan" lol. But no, dude still has it.

Wait...so just to confirm, that insane "First Win" thread was this fake dead Bunny dude making shit up about good ole' Gramps and how much he loved his team and his goalie partner? I would always read that thread when I needed a good laugh and now it all makes sense (not really). Every one of of those posts should have started with, "Dear Diary".

I'm looking for 24" full right sticks. I have 26" sticks, but I'm looking for something lighter and shorter to have a less pronounced 7-hole. The only place I'm seeing anything is Sideline Swap, so I'm curious if y'all have some other leads.

24" in what model? I've been using a 24" Axis Pro (intermediate) and it's a great stick but no longer available, so I recently bought a 25" warrior which is equivalent to the 24" CCM.

I can’t believe true or CCM haven’t come up with an equivalent for primo/quickslide yet

Yes it's kinda baffling. Or at the very least not create something that's worse than default jenpro or weave, which I actually think are adequate when combined with a pad that's designed to use it well. So I'm glad that CCM has appeared to at least partially begun to dig themselves out of the hole they were in with speedskin.

I gotta say this one is amusing. CCM has done the testing and the science proves that solid Jenpro is the best for sliding.

Yet for the last couple of years consumers have said that that Speedskin actually made sliding worse and CCM insisted that we were all wrong and that is superior.

And now, CCM  coming with this science approach as if it’s their new discovery. So much so that you can’t actually get Speedskin on your sliding surface at all anymore.

It really is kind of amusing. Although to The Hockey Shop's credit, I called once and spoke with Cam and asked about speedskin and he was pretty open about how bad it was and that no one really liked it.

CCM obviously knew that too, but I get that they couldn't openly say that. They screwed up. Just like True and their Fastglide.

What I don't understand is how either of those companies ever thought those products/materials should be used. Bizarre.

  7. Just thought I'd give some feedback/mention a minor complaint after six ice times with my px3's: The velcro quality really isn't great! Compared to my ef6's it's the one thing that's disappointing. Especially on the FRS system (not the tabbed end that you use to remove and attach, but the other end that you set up/adjust to get the right fit), it isn't very strong and a corner is already curling up a little. Strap quality in general is behind CCM, in my opinion.

Anyone else have a similar experience or did I get unlucky? None of this is a dealbreaker, I guess my expectations were just higher.

New axis core will be infinite rebound stock.

Yup. From a stiffness rating, do you know where that sits in relation to Litexcore and Maxrebound+? In between?

What's interesting is that the 2023 custom goal catalog does not mention the "+" for either AX2 or EF6.

But the regular retail catalog for 2023 lists the Core Construction of the AX2 as "LITEXCORE AND MAX REBOUND+ TECHNOLOGY".

So, I went back and found some pics I took when I unboxed my EF6's and here you can see they explicitly identify the MAXREBOUND with the "+", so I'm guessing it's the same core in the XF line.

Infinite Power Rebound is new this year. Don't know much about it.

MaxRebound+ should be the same foam they used in Axis 1/2.

Thank you. I wonder if the new one got more of a kick, or stiffer core.

Maxrebound was an option for Eflex 6 as well, which I have. Definitely more pop on the rebounds and stiffer overall. Is the "+" part new, or is that the same?

    Wouldn't be surprised if you're 100% right.

From the forthcoming customizer PDF - note the lack of "Pro" under the Total Custom program.

And the last bullet point on the picture below...

    Yup that makes sense.

  12. Speaking of sliding surfaces, curious to know from other px3 owners how tight the material is on your knee block. I have to say, mine definitely has some  extra and isn't wrapped tight.

My very recent experience with Bauer was the same, tried on Hyperlite 2 C/A size Large, body fit me well, but the arms did not (were too long) no matter how I set it up. Put on Mach same size and it was basically perfect. Even the clerk was surprised when I told him the HL2 was too big for me.

This was my experience too. The body/chest fit perfectly and the shoulders didn't interfere with my vision or head turn and I really wanted it to work, so I ended up adding more velcro to the arm attachment system which allowed me to cinch up the arms a bit higher and that solved it for me.

Interesting. Seems like I'm the only one having shit sliding in trues. But that could just be a personal issue with weight distribution. My ef6 slid way better than my trues.

Yeah that is surprising. My ef6's do slide quite well and I don't have any issues with them, but the Trues are better. For me, anyway. As @Toobs asked, what do you have on them? Weave? and is that what's on your CCM's as well?
